The ICC released the latest Women's T20I Rankings on June 16 (Tuesday), and several players have made significant progress following the opening matches of the ongoing ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026. 

Indian stars Deepti Sharma and Shree Charani were among the biggest gainers after India's impressive 64-run victory over Pakistan at Edgbaston, Birmingham.

India enjoyed a dream start to their World Cup campaign. After posting 170/6 in 20 overs, thanks to a brilliant half-century from Smriti Mandhana and a quickfire knock from Richa Ghosh. 

The Women in Blue bowled Pakistan out for 106 in 17 overs. Deepti Sharma starred with the ball, claiming a stunning five-wicket haul that helped her achieve major milestones and climb the ICC Women's rankings.

Deepti Sharma Rise In ICC Rankings

Deepti Sharma moved up two places to third in the ICC Women's T20I All-Rounder Rankings following her match-winning performance against Pakistan.

Her five-wicket haul at Edgbaston also helped her gain five places in the T20I Bowling Rankings, where she now sits fifth. 

The performance was historic as Deepti became the leading wicket-taker in Women's T20Is with 166 wickets, surpassing Thailand's Thipatcha Putthawong.

Deepti also moved closer to the top of the all-time international wicket-takers list in women’s cricket.

The Indian all-rounder now has 365 points, and meanwhile, West Indies captain Hayley Matthews reclaimed the No. 1 position in the ICC Women's T20I All-Rounder Rankings.

Shree Charani Reaches Career-High Ranking

India star Shree Charani has achieved a major milestone in the latest rankings. The young bowler jumped five places to reach No. 2 in the ICC Women's T20I Bowling Rankings, achieving a new career-best rating of 728 points.

Charani is now just five rating points behind England spinner Linsey Smith, who remains at the top with 733 points.

England pacer Lauren Bell occupies third place with 727 points, making the race for the No. 1 ranking extremely close.

Georgia Voll Retains Top Spot Among Batters

Australia’s Georgia Voll continues to lead the ICC Women’s T20I Batter Rankings, maintaining her position at the top with 804 points.

South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt moved up one place to second (789 points) after scoring 44 runs against Australia in Manchester, while Australia's Beth Mooney slipped to third (784 points). 

Australian batter Phoebe Litchfield reached a career-best ranking after climbing four places to 10th following her impressive half-century against South Africa. 

England veteran Danni Wyatt-Hodge also made a major jump, rising six places to 14th after scoring a magnificent century against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.
