An India vs Pakistan match is never without intensity and emotions, and similar scenes were seen between Harmanpreet Kaur and Fatima Sana in the India Women and Pakistan Women match of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on June 14.
At the toss, India Women captain Harmanpreet Kaur won the toss and chose to bat first. However, what caught the attention of fans was the interaction between the two captains.
After speaking to the presenter about India's playing XI and the decision to bat first, Harmanpreet walked back towards the Indian dugout without exchanging the handshake with Pakistan captain Fatima Sana.

Fatima Sana Celebrates Aggressively After Dismissing Harmanpreet Kaur
Pakistan captain Fatima Sana produced a crucial breakthrough by dismissing her Indian counterpart Harmanpreet Kaur during the 17th over.
The wicket came when Fatima Sana bowled a good-length delivery on the pads. Harmanpreet attempted an aggressive flick towards deep square leg but failed to get enough elevation.
The ball was safely caught near the boundary, ending a valuable innings from the Indian captain.
Harmanpreet had played an important role in building India’s innings and looked set to accelerate. Her dismissal came at a crucial moment and provided Pakistan with a significant advantage.
After taking the wicket, Fatima Sana showed her emotions openly. The Pakistan skipper celebrated passionately and was seen shouting in excitement as Harmanpreet walked back to the pavilion.

Mandhana Leads India's Comeback After Early Wickets
India made a strong comeback after losing two early wickets to score 170/6 in IND-W vs PAK-W. After winning the toss, India had a difficult start, slipping to 18 for 2 in the fourth over.
Smriti Mandhana played a brilliant innings of 68 runs from 44 balls at a strike rate of 154.55. She struck nine boundaries and two sixes to steady the innings and put pressure back on the Pakistan bowlers.
Mandhana and Harmanpreet built an important partnership of 91 runs, helping India recover from the early losses and take control of the match.
At the end, Wicketkeeper-batter Richa Ghosh added quick runs. She scored 34 off just 17 balls, helping India cross the 150-run mark and finish with a competitive total of 170 for 6 in 20 overs.
