On Tuesday, February 10, Pakistan and the United States of America are crossing swords in Match 12 of the ongoing T20 World Cup 2026 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo. 

Notably, Pakistan, led by Salman Ali Agha, featured in the tournament opener and secured a narrow three-wicket victory to begin on a positive note. Therefore, the Men in Green will be confident heading into this clash. 

However, at the same time, the memories of the shocking defeat they suffered at the hands of the USA in the 2024 edition are still fresh, and they will be keen to settle scores.

Meanwhile, the Monank Patel-led USA faced defending champions India in their first match. Although they eventually lost by 29 runs, they impressed many with their fighting performance until Suryakumar Yadav’s knock and disciplined Indian bowling turned the game around. 

However, the USA have suffered a setback, as fast bowler Jasdeep Singh has been ruled out due to a shoulder injury. Nevertheless, after pushing India hard, the USA will look to register their first win and stay alive in the competition.

Talking about the changes, the USA have made two changes to their team. Since Ali Khan is injured, Ehsan Adil has been brought in, while Saiteja Mukkamalla misses out. In addition, Shayan Jahangir comes into the side.

Meanwhile, Pakistan have made a single change to their lineup, with Usman Tariq replacing Salman Mirza.

Salman Ali Agha (Pakistan Captain): "We have made 1 change. Usman Tariq is playing. Salman Mirza is unfortunately missing out. Yeah, it's a tactical change. We want to give Usman a game. He is a matchwinner for us.

Well, I think we know that we have to improve in a certain things. We had a long chat in the team meeting. I am hoping that we will be able to do much better today.

We have been playing really good cricket since the past few months now. We are performing really well day in, day out."
