Babar Azam flops again in comeback Test for Pakistan
Pakistan captain Babar Azam got bounced out by England speed demon Jofra Archer on Day 4 of their second Test at Lord’s in London. The cricketer made his way back to the sheds for just six off eight balls to register his second failure of the match.
Interestingly, the match marked Babar’s return to the playing XI after missing the series-opener owing to an injury. The legendary right-handed batter has now extended his unwanted century-less streak to 38 innings in Test cricket.

Kagiso Rabada to miss Australia ODIs
South Africa fast bowler Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the national squad for their upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia.
The legendary speedster is yet to recover from his hamstring injury, and is currently racing against time to attain full fitness before South Africa’s hectic home Test season. He is also not in the current South Africa squad that is in Namibia for the ongoing T20I tri-series.
Mohammad Amir ends Pakistan chapter, becomes ‘local British’
Mohammad Amir has confirmed his exit from Pakistan cricket for good. In a recent interview with YouTuber Furqan Bhatti, the legendary fast bowler shut down all speculations over possibly returning to Pakistan’s cricket circles and acknowledged his newfound England citizenship.
Amir recently received his British passport and citizenship through his wife Narjis Khan. The speedster also played The Hundred 2026 season for the Trent Rockets franchise.
Imam-ul-Haq ruled out of remainder of Lord’s Test
Pakistan opener Imam-ul-Haq has been ruled out of the remainder of his team’s ongoing Lord’s Test against hosts England. The cricketer recently picked up a calf tear and has been advised to have a rest for at least 10 days.
Imam remained absent hurt from the first Pakistan innings on Day 2 when they bundled out for just 110. He will also not bat for Pakistan during their chase of 389 runs on the final two days of the match.
Auqib Nabi joins Surrey for County Championship Division One 2026
Indian fast bowler Auqib Nabi has been roped in by the Surrey Cricket Club. As per the signing, the Ranji Trophy star will feature in three County Championship Division One 2026 matches for Surrey starting next week.
Nabi’s impending stint also marks a huge opportunity for him to impress Indian selectors before India’s all-important tour of New Zealand.
