Trent Rockets Women crushed Sunrisers Leeds to win the Women’s edition of The Hundred 2026 season. The outcome marked the first-ever Hundred title for the Trent Rockets Women’s team, doing so after failing to qualify in three successive knockouts from 2023 till 2025.
It is worth noting that Trent Rockets is one of the founding members of The Hundred, and its women’s team made it to the knockouts just once across the first five editions of the tournament.
Kim Garth, Samantha Bates and Georgia Adams decimate Sunrisers Leeds
Winning the toss and electing to field first, Trent Rockets fast bowler Kim Garth (2-18) struck with the new ball to get rid of Sunrisers opener Bryony Smith and number three Lauren Winfield-Hill.
Phoebe Litchfield and Deepti Sharma both failed to make the most of their confident starts as the two cricketers were dismissed by Charley Phillips, who claimed sensational figures of 2-12.
Tottering at 56-4, the Sunrisers soon plunged further down to 62-7 after wicket-taking spells from Georgia Adams (2-9) and Samantha Bates.

Samantha and Georgia Adams added a wicket each to their tally by cleaning up the Sunrisers Leeds tail at 91 off 91 balls. The two cricketers completed two wickets each, much like Kim Garth and Charley Phillips as the four bowlers combined to scalp eight Sunrisers wickets.
For the Sunrisers, only all-rounder Annabel Sutherland (25 off 23) and captain Dani Gibson (22) managed to breach the 20-run mark in the innings.

Chasing 92, Trent Rockets Women openers Sophia Dunkley (41 off 23) and Beth Mooney (31*off 21) raced to a 69-run opening stand from just 40 balls before the English top-order batter fell to Dani Gibson.
Nat Sciver-Brunt at number three got trapped in front by Annabel Sutherland for just four, before unbeaten Mooney and team captain Ashleigh Gardner took Rockets past the Sunrisers franchise.

It was skipper Gardner who struck the winning runs as Trent Rockets won the final by eight wickets and 46 balls to spare to lift the 2026 The Hundred Women’s title.
Trent Rockets end Women’s The Hundred drought
The Trent Rockets franchise has now won its first-ever Women’s The Hundred title after five failed attempts since the inaugural edition of 2021. Moreover, in the first five editions of the tournament, the Rockets franchise made it to the women’s knockouts just once, doing so back in 2022.
Under the leadership of legendary Australian all-rounder Ashleigh Gardner, the Trent Rockets lifted its second Hundred title overall, considering the men’s team lifted the 2022 title by defeating Manchester Originals in a nail-biter.
