After Mitchell Starc rammed through Bangladesh in the first innings of the Mackay Test, his wife and former cricketer Alyssa Healy interviewed him. The couple adorably teased each other, thus creating a heartwarming moment.

Australia had suffered a surprising defeat in the first Test, but they responded strongly in the second Test at Mackay. Bangladesh were bowled out for just 64 runs in their first innings. 

And Starc played a key role as he picked up a 6-wicket-haul for just 12 runs in 10 overs. He completed his five-wicket haul in just 22 balls and continued to torment Bangladesh's batting lineup.

Meanwhile, after achieving the 6-fer, Mitchell Starc met his wife and cricketer-turned-broadcaster Alyssa Healy for a special interview. The exchange quickly became entertaining as Healy joked about their dinner the previous night, enquiring if Starc would sponsor the meal after his stellar success in Mackay. 

"Yeah, who would have thought they'd stitch this one up? I paid for dinner last night. Does that mean it's now your turn?," Healy asked.

Starc, meanwhile, didn’t hold back either as he replied, “You're on the bigger bucks than I am.”

Starc's dream comeback after Healy ranked him low

Interestingly, Mitchell Starc made a comeback with the ball against Bangladesh in the Mackay Test after Alyssa Healy surprisingly rated him low. She apparently took part in a blind-ranking challenge involving five famous cricket bowlers. 

The catch was that she had to rank each bowler before knowing who would come next, so she couldn't change an earlier ranking. However, when Healy was given Mitchell Starc, she had already filled the top four positions. 

That left only No. 5, meaning she had no choice but to put her own husband there. But days after Alyssa Healy played Starc at the bottom of the list, the star Aussie pacer proved himself with a sensational spell.

Starc opens up on Australia’s strategy

Meanwhile, Alyssa Healy later turned the conversation towards cricket, asking Mitchell Starc about Australia's decision to bowl first. 

Starc explained that Australia wanted to make the most of the conditions and that the pitch had similarities to the Gabba. 

"To get first use of that wicket, a lot of the Queenslanders here have said it's a lot like the Gabba. So, yeah, to make first use of that in the first session, you can't be too unhappy. Six in the first session, can't beat that. Obviously a little bit of anger. It's worked well so far; hopefully we can keep it up,” Starc added.

Eventually, the plan worked for the Aussies as Bangladesh had no answer to the ruthless attack of Mitchell Starc and captain Pat Cummins. However, Bangladesh also fought back as Shoriful Islam bagged a 5-fer to force a collapse.

At stumps on Day 1, Australia had 165 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets with a 101-run lead.
