Australia all-rounder Marcus Stoinis put on a spectacular batting display during Major League Cricket (MLC 2026) match between Seattle Orcas and Washington Freedom at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday, June 26.
After being asked to bat first, Seattle Orcas got off to a flying start. Openers Tim Seifert and Shayan Jahangir dominated the powerplay and added 59 runs for the first wicket.
However, Ian Holland ended the partnership by dismissing Seifert for 37. Soon after, Jahangir also departed after scoring 22 off 23 balls, leaving Seattle at 79/2 after 10 overs.

Following the early wickets, Matthew Breetzke and Shimron Hetmyer built another valuable partnership. They kept the scoreboard moving with regular boundaries and took the total to 138 before Breetzke was dismissed for 32.
Marcus Stoinis then walked in and completely changed the momentum of the game. Together with Shimron Hetmyer, he launched a brutal attack on Washington bowlers.
Notably, the pair added 51 runs in just 20 balls, putting the opposition under immense pressure.
It is important to note that Marcus Stoinis was especially aggressive against his Victorian teammate Ian Holland. During the 18th over, Stoinis, who is known for destructive batting, smashed five big sixes and collected 30 runs. Watching the onslaught, Steve Smith seemed stunned by the effort.
Interestingly, both Stoinis and Holland have shared the Victorian dressing room in Australian domestic cricket.
Eventually, Stoinis was dismissed for a quickfire 42 off only 16 balls after mistiming a shot that was caught by Mark Chapman.

Jasdeep Singh Leads Washington's Collapse
Chasing 228 was always going to be a difficult task and Washington Freedom needed a strong start. Unfortunately, things went wrong from the beginning.
Captain Steve Smith was dismissed in the second over after mistiming his shot, while Mitch Owen also fell in the very next over. Andries Gous showed some intent by scoring 18 runs, but Jasdeep Singh bowled him in the fifth over.
Notably, Jasdeep then completely turned the match in Seattle's favour. He removed Glenn Maxwell for a duck and later, dismissed Jack Edwards for four runs in the same over.

The collapse continued as Obus Pienaar and Mark Chapman were also dismissed cheaply, reducing Washington to 50/7 in just 7.2 overs.
Later, Ian Holland and Marco Jansen tried to fight back with a useful partnership. Holland scored 26, while Jansen added 20 before both were dismissed.
Jasdeep Singh completed a brilliant five-wicket haul by removing Jansen. Meanwhile, Amila Aponso entertained with an unbeaten 31 off 13 balls, but his efforts were not enough.
