Sourya: So after a record successful run chase, Pakistan have deservedly completed a clean sweep of this T20I series at the National Stadium in Karachi. Due to the COVID outbreak in their camp, WI were depleted and run ragged, kudos to them for competing in these circumstances. But the ODI series that was supposed to follow the T20Is have been postponed to the next year as a result of the outbreak. It's time for me, Sourya Chowdhury, to sign off along with my fellow commentators Arya Sekhar Chakraborty and Wali. We hope you enjoyed this coverage, good night.
Babar Azam | Winning captain| "It was a big total, but Rizwan and I had a plan to last long and keep the run rate high. Many of the younger players showed a lot of class in this series. We are preparing for the next World T20 and there were great performances throughout and we are in a great stead. Youngsters should learn from the way Rizwan has worked on his batting and he deserves all the plaudits.
Nicholas Pooran "| Losing captain | "The last overs were crucial. Pakistan bowled brilliantly and we were 20 runs short. It was a very tough night for us, most of the guys had not slept and it was a great effort from them to come out and play and am very happy. Thanks everyone for supporting us. It was a young team and a special team, many positives to take from this series."
Mohammad Rizwan | Man of the Match/ Player of the Series |" It was a big target but we had a plan to chase down specific targets and it worked out. I played match after match and did not focus on the year, but then came to realise that the 2000 run record has come up. I practised my six-hitting in the nets, there are certain difficult shots to execute that I have added to my repertoire."
Sourya: For the Windies, Pooran was in great nick making 64 off 37 and both Brandon King (43) and Shamarh (49) Brooks both blasted it to all corners of the park, but Pakistan bowled a brilliant final two overs full of accurate yorkers and variations to ensure the score did not go beyond 220 which the visitors had threatened at one point. Mohammad Wasim was the pick of the bowlers with 2/44. The inexperienced WI bowling attack could not cope with the onslaught despite their best efforts. Rizwan capped off a phenomenal year to become the first batsman to make 2000 T20I runs in a calendar year while starring in a winning cause.
Sourya: So after all the uncertainty caused by the burgeoning COVID-19 cases in the West Indies camp that nearly led to a cancellation of the third T20I, the game finally went through and Pakistan have wrapped up a clean sweep with a convincing 7-wicket win. In what was the best pitch of the series, Windies keeper Nicholas Pooran had no hesitation in choosing to bat first and they gave a great go at it, reaching a formidable 207-3. But this Pakistan team is a different beast in T20 cricket nowadays and another 150+ opening stand between the dynamic duo of Babar Azam (79 off 53) and Mohammad Rizwan (87 off 45) ensured they reached the target with 7 balls to spare.
18.5 R Shepherd to A Ali
1 And that is it. A record run-chase for Pakistan. There highest successful run-chase in T20Is. That's a miscue high up in the air, Rovman Powell drops the catch but it wouldn't have mattered given it was a free hit. Asif Ali gets through for a single and finishes the match off.

4nb A waist-high full toss and Asif Ali manages to put some bat to ball and finds the boundary down the deep backward square leg area. No ball-called.
