Amelia Kerr (New Zealand Captain): "[on the batting performance] It was nice to see Brooke firstly get a big score. Maddy Green, Izzy Gaze and Emma McLeod at the top with nice contributions. Pleasing to get a big score and for one of our players to go really big.

[on expectations from the batters] We train a lot, we hit a lot of balls in the nets but that doesn't always result to runs in the game but it's pleasing to see that come off today for a group of us.

[on improvements for the next game] With 50 over cricket you've got to be boring. You've got to know that they are allowed to have partnerships but still staying in the game and keeping your own level of professionalism and body language knowing that when you get 1, often 2 comes but trying to stay in the game even when you feel like they're going nicely.

[on the mental game] Every game of cricket is a mental game no matter who you play. It's about getting yourself up, getting yourself mentally in the zone and switching on to be the best you can be and trying to do that every single time you go and compete.

[on the older players requiring recovery] We're quite a young group so there will only be a couple of them in recovery. Recovery is important, they'll be doing Irish baths and stuff now but we've got a day off tomorrow. I'm sure the old girls will make use of that."
Nomvelo Sibanda (Zimbabwe Women Captain): "[On letting the White Ferns get away to too big a target in that first innings] Yeah, I don’t know. My bowlers bowled well, and we’re creating chances, which is a positive. It’s definitely ticking a few boxes for us.

[On team adapting from T20 format to longer format] Yeah, I think that’s definitely a positive. We’re getting there, and the energy has been there from the first over to the last, which is a good sign.

[On team energy] Yeah, it’s mainly a mental thing, and we love hunting in pairs as well, so the energy out there has been really good.

[What to do to recuperate and come back stronger on Sunday?] We definitely need to take the chances we create, and I think that will make a big difference."
Brooke Halliday (Player of the Match): "[on the inning] I just feel the pain in my legs at the moment and a little bit fatigued. Maddy built the partnership with me to begin with. It was kind of like a complete performance from a batting point of view. Really happy.

[on looking for a big total] I'm not too sure before the game but when Maddy and I were out there, the blueprint for us as a batting unit is 2 down at 30-over mark and from there to be able to T20 with 8 wickets in hand. It was a point in that last 20 overs where I said to Izzy, 350 was our target. It was just fortunate that it came off."
