Right then. New Zealand Women wrap up the series with a game to go. South Africa Women will have to bring out their A-game on Wednesday to finish the series on a winning note. Do join us for the fifth and final T20I on Wednesday. It's time for us to take your leave. This is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Ninaad Dixit, scorer Yogesh Kumar and statistician Aman. Until next time, cheers and good bye.
Amelia Kerr (New Zealand Women Captain): "[How pleasing was it to win games chasing for the second time in a row?] Yeah, pleasing to win the series. Sophie was outstanding in the chase. Georgia also at the top of the order. To win that game with more than an over to spare, it was outstanding.

[On Jess Kerr and Rosemary Mair bowling in the powerplay] Both are outstanding. Jess' ability to swing the ball in the powerplay makes it hard for the batters. Also, her change of pace in the death overs. She was outstanding.

[Things to take forward in the fifth game] I think we have to keep building and be ruthless. Win games for the countries. That's what teams want to do. Our energy on the field is outstanding be it while bowling or while fielding or while batting. Going into the next game, just bring in that energy.

[On the crowd today] Wellington is an outstanding city. They know how to support the sport and especially, the women's cricket. They turn up for Super Smash games or New Zealand games. We love having them here."
Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa Women Captain): "[on being confident halfway through the game] We thought it was about a par total. Very pleased with the score we got to, considering the first 10 overs we had. Annerie was amazing. Just shows the power that she has, it was awesome to see. Tough 2nd half. When you give players like Sophie Devine a couple of chances, you're going to regret it. She batted really well and took the game away from us.

[on playing for the first time at this venue] I don't see that as an excuse. It's a lovely place to play cricket. We back ourselves to take wherever we are. Disappointed with that but hopefully we can be better next game.

[on takeouts from this match] This will give us a lot to discuss in the next few days to see where we can be better. Obviously come up against a really good side who are really hitting their straps well and not giving us a sniff so we're gonna have to go back to the drawing board, come back better and have the World Cup in mind."
Jess Kerr (Player of the Match): "[How special was it to register her career-best T20I figures] It was special to do it in front of the home crowd. Also, to contribute to the win, it was special.

[How do you keep your composure while bowling in the powerplay] Just keep the stumps in play. Bowling in partnerships is very handful. I have been doing it with Rosemary Mair with a couple of games now. All the bowlers have really stepped up.

[On the bowling partnerships] It's quite nice. Amelia is using only five or six bowlers. It helps you understand your role in the team.

[On Amelia Kerr] She's been amazing. She is making people feel ten feet tall. She has been a huge inspiration for me and it's great to see her succeed since taking the captaincy roles.

[On playing in front of the family] I spotted mum and dad and a few aunties. It's special to see them being here."

10:12 AM IST, 5:42 PM Local Time: That’s it. New Zealand Women carry forward the winning momentum and seal the series with a game to go. A comprehensive six-wicket victory over South Africa Women here in Wellington and they take an unassailable lead in the five-match series. The Proteas Women have been completely outplayed today.

Let’s have a recap of this fixture. It was a new opening pair for South Africa Women after they elected to bat first. Chloe Tryon opened alongside Sune Luus and scored 14 before falling inside the powerplay. Luus (30) and Laura Wolvaardt (10) built a 33-run stand before both fell in a space of three balls.

Annerie Dercksen started positively at number four. Tazmin Brits (8) failed to make an impact while batting at five. Dercksen hit a fine fifty and remained unbeaten on 55 off 32. Cameos from Nadine de Klerk (20 off 14) and Kayla Reyneke (13 off 8) powered the Proteas Women to 159/6 at the end of their innings.

Jess Kerr was the standout bowler for New Zealand Women, registering her career-best T20I figures of 3/16 from her four overs.
Amelia Kerr (1/32) and Sophie Devine (1/27) picked up a wicket each but were a bit on the expensive side.

Chasing 160, the hosts lost Isabella Gaze (6) cheaply inside the powerplay. Georgia Plimmer looked good for her 29 before falling in the eighth over. In the next over, Sophie Devine and Amelia Kerr were dropped on zero and 22 respectively on consecutive deliveries off Reyneke. It proved to be too costly for the Proteas Women.

Kerr and Devine put 46 between them before the former departed in the 14th over. Devine though kept going strong and brought up her 23rd T20I fifty in just 27 balls. Devine played an outstanding knock of 64 off 34 before holing out in the deep, with her side requiring just 11 runs to win.

Maddy Green joined Brooke Halliday and both remained unbeaten on nine and 16 respectively, taking their side across the line. New Zealand wrapped up the chase in 18.3 overs with six wickets in hand, their highest successful run chase at home in WT20Is. Chloe Tryon (2/13) grabbed two scalps for the South African side which failed to defend the total.

Stay tuned for the post-match presentation.
