Rashid Khan (Hero of the Match): "Well I am quite happy with the performance overall. (On my batting) I knew I will get a couple of balls to bat and it was preplanned as I knew where to hit the ball if he bowls in my arc.
(On my bowling) Well I haven't bowled much in this ground but I wanted to stick to my line and lengths. Today I feel I hit the right areas and the success is in front of us.
Well Russell and I have a good competition as its the beauty of his league. I am happy to take up those challenges and at the end of the day our team won so that matters the most."

Coming to bat first in the first innings, Rockets lost their opener Adam Lyth for 4. But after that, Tom Banton and Alex Hales then took the charge and they registered a 69 run partnership between them in just 46 balls before Banton got out for 36 off 25 balls hitting 4 fours and a maximum.
However, Alex Hales continued to hit big with Joe Root. The widely experienced duo added 58 runs in their partnership for the 3rd wicket. Hales scored 68 runs from 42 balls with 3 fours and 5 maximums. Joe Root added 32 runs from 23 balls with 3 fours. Rovman Powell played a good cameo off 13 runs from 7 balls. Rashid Khan came to play the last ball of the innings and maximized it with a maximum.
Richard Gleeson took a couple of wickets and Liam Dawson took one wicket for Trent Rockets and the other bowlers were expensive.
Coming to chase the run, London Spirit was going well as Keaton Jennings added 31 runs beside his name in a jiffy. But the entire middle order got derailed by Rashid Khan. The Afghan spin wizard removed Jennings, Lawrence and Hetmyer to reduce the Rockets to 52 for 5.
Andre Russell and Matthew Critchley started to give fightback after that and they added 49 runs in their partnership. Russell scored 23 from 15 balls with a boundary and a couple of maximums. Liam Dawson added crucial 16 runs from 12 balls but after his dismissal, chasing the run was tough for Matt Critchley. Critchley struggled for four balls in the penultimate set and when he tried to take the second run in the final ball, he got run out. But he scored 37 runs from 30 balls with 3 fours and a maximum.
Rashid Khan was the star of the show with 4 wickets for 24 runs. Luke Wood and Imad Wasim took a couple of wickets each and skipper Lewis Gregory took one wicket.
