So what’s the story of the night? Karachi built a house of 150. Islamabad arrived with bulldozers. Sameer Minhas broke the chase open. Conway stayed till the end, cool as an evening breeze. Shadab signed the final page. United now move to second on the points table with their fourth win in seven games. Karachi are left wondering if 30-40 more runs might have changed the script. Cricket moves fast. Islamabad moved faster.

Until then, I am Dev Rajawat, signing off, along with my co-commentators, Manan Mehta, Saptak Sanyal, and scorer Zeeshan Naiyer. Also, a special thanks to our scorers, Mohammad Anab and Aman. That’s it from our side. Thanks for joining. But cricket doesn’t sleep. Plenty is happening around the world. Switch tabs, follow the fun. Goodbye from this tab! TAKE CARE! BREATHE AND SMILE! CIAO!!!!

Shadab Khan (Islamabad United Captain): (On what the team did differently in a big win) “I don’t think we did anything different. We always try to execute our plans. We were doing that in the last match as well, but when we lost two wickets in the 10th over, we lost momentum.

(On the bowlers making the difference) One area we had spoken about was our death bowling, which had not been as good throughout the tournament. Today, the way the bowlers made a comeback gave us momentum. Alhamdulillah, a lot of things are going well. But when you win, everything looks good. I still believe there are many areas where we need to improve.

(On Sameer Minhas’ performances) We knew what an exceptional talent Sameer is. To come onto such a big stage, make an impact, and play the way he is playing is very pleasing. Hopefully, he continues to perform throughout his career and in the rest of the tournament.

(On gaining momentum at the right stage of the tournament) Yes, that’s important. We learned last year that we started with momentum and then lost it later. The team that grabs momentum at the right time usually wins the tournament.”
Moeen Ali (Karachi Kings Captain): "(On the team's recent losses) We just haven't batted or bowled well. In fact, in the field too. We have been very poor in general in the last 3 games. I think we have been very passive in our batting. The game has changed and we need to play aggressively. Even if we lose a wicket. We have a long batting line up.

(On Moeen himself coming too late in the batting order) Any of me, Khushdil or Abbas can come up earlier. See it all depends on the situation and we might just have to assess that better in the upcoming games and take better calls.

(On David Warner's fitness) Yeah he is feeling better. He might be available for the next game. If not then for sure in the one to follow that."
Sameer Minhas (Player of the Match): "(Preparation for this run chase) Nothing much. Simple plan was to play ball-by-ball. The idea was to play sticking to the basics. We thought that we will go for boundaries in only those balls which we will feel to be a bad one.

(Preparations apart from your batting) I have worked a lot on fielding and fitness. Everything is important. If fitness is good, fielding and running becomes better.

(How about your partnership with Devon Conway?) I learn a lot from him. We give each other a lot of confidence. Our calling is good so we take a lot of singles and doubles and this helps us."
