The series heads to the decider at Lord's! The Indian women's team scripted history with a famous win in the first ever Women's Test at the venue a few days back and now it's time for the Indian men's team to do something special in the ODI series after the disappointing T20I leg.
Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer's form will be a positive sign for the visitors. Gurnoor Brar has brought a different dimension to the pace attack led by Jasprit Bumrah and the ever reliable Axar Patel is creating trouble in the middle overs as well. Can the men in blue put up an inspiring performance or will an in-form England side take the honours in the longer format as well? Harry Brook (England Captain): "(How important is this victory) Very important. We are still alive in the series and now looking forward to Sunday.
(On restricting India to 233) I thought it was a phenomenal effort. From 180/3 after 30 overs and looking like they would get a big total. We had a good couple of periods when Sam (Curran) and Jacksy bowled together. To bowl them out for 7 for 60 in the end was just ridiculous.
(On playing an extra seamer today) It was all down to the conditions, really. We selected our XI based on the conditions. Today we thought that the extra seamer was the right option. On another day, we could bring in an extra spinner.
(On Joe Root unbeaten on 99) He is a phenomenal player. You can learn so much from him in the change room. He is a great bloke to have around. He always seems to turn up when we need him the most.
(On the discrepancy of the form of the ODI side compared to the T20I side) Definitely, yeah. He has been one of the best in the world for many years. I can remember an innings he played couple of years ago where he only hit three fours and he got a hundred which is remarkable. He is a phenomenal rotator of strike and that's a major part in ODI cricket.
(On how important is winning the game on Sunday for their qualification hopes for 2027 WC) We will just take every game as it comes. If we have to qualify then we have to qualify. We are looking forward to Sunday now. We will see how the conditions are out there and will try to beat them."

Shubman Gill (India Captain): [on their total] "Quite disappointing. We thought 300-310 would be a good total. After 25 overs we were at a good position but we lost too many wickets in the middle.
[on the collapses] Our tailenders are not the best batsmen but we expected a bit more from our lower middle order and we were not able to capitalize on the start that we got. But hopefully the next time we get there we'll try to build some partnerships and take it on from there.
[on his own dismissal] Never a good feeling when you ping one straight to covers.
[on missing Sundar] He's a key part of our team. I think he got injured while he was batting, taking that run to mid off and maybe it would have played a part, squeezing in the pressure. We had to bowl our main bowlers throughout the inning but I don't think it would have made a really big difference because the ball was doing for the fast bowlers but you lose a key player like that, you have to change your strategies. There was a bit of momentum lost for us.
[on Root] 240 we always knew the run rate. If we would have had the run rate close to 5.5 or 6, we could have produced a false shot out of him but 4.5 per over, he's a master of these kind of totals. We just couldn't produce any false shot out of him."

We soaked a bit of pressure in different phases of the game. I thought we did a great job as a whole. Sometimes you need ugly wins. Now, we go to Lord's with everything to play for.
(Why is winning so difficult for the ODI team than the T20I team?) Well, you can look at the last 30 games and also here and now. I think this team should be judged here and now. We won in Sri Lanka.
