03.03 PM IST: So after 36.4 overs of play, it started raining 🌧️ heavily and players walked off the field and never came back as rain was dropping heavily. After waiting for a long period match officials decided to abandon the game.

Earlier, Chamari Athapaththu won the toss and they decided to bat first. Harshitha Madavi and Vishmi Gunaratne opened the batting for Sri Lanka but didn't get off to a good start, as they lost the wicket of Harshitha, just the very first ball of the match.

A small rebuilding partnership of 32 runs for the second wicket was formed between Chamari Athapaththu and Vishmi Gunaratne, but Nahida Akter broke the partnership in the 6th over.

Chamari Athapaththu and Imesha Dulani took responsibility and forged a partnership of 41 runs for the third wicket. However, their progress was halted when Chamari Athapaththu (47 off 37) departed, she looked comfortable in the middle but unfortunately went off after hitting 8 fours and 2 maximums.

Sri Lanka lost their 5 wickets at 89 runs on the scoreboard. Afterward, Prasadani Weerakkody and Kavisha Dilhari built up the partnership for a while and both posted 28 runs on the scoreboard before Weerakkody departed at 24 off 47.

Then, Oshadi Ranasinghe and Kavisha Dilhari glued 35 runs for the team before the rain break, staying unbeaten at 14* and 30* respectively.

The Sri Lanka Women scored a 152 runs loss of 6 wickets in 36.4 overs before the rain.

For Bangladesh Women, Nahida Akter was the pick of the bowler, gave away 24 runs in his 7 overs, and scalped 3 wickets. While Jahanara Alam, Fahima Khatun, and Sultana Khatun bagged a wicket each. Ritu Moni went wicketless
