Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) came to a high-flying end as the Babar Azam-led Peshawar Zalmi won its second title in the league's history, winning its first trophy after 10 long years.
Moreover, it was Babar Azam's first IPL title as captain, with the Pakistan star leading the Zalmi from the front and smashing a joint-most runs (588) in a single PSL edition. Meanwhile, Sufiyan Muqeem also played a massive role during the PSL 2026 triumph by snapping 22 wickets.
As Peshawar Zalmi single-handedly thrashed the PSL debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen in the highly anticipated final, it was more of a team effort by the Peshawar players, with Babar and Sufiyan running just an extra mile.
Now that the PSL 2026 has concluded, let us look at some extraordinary performers who might get poached by the IPL franchises next season.
Five PSL 2026 Stars who could play in IPL 2027
5) Chris Green
For those who don't know, Chris Green is quality T20 agent, who is famous across the globe for his tidy off-spin bowling and astute leadership. The Australian is a decent fielder and a handy lower-order batter.
Playing for Islamabad United, Green did well as a foreign player, contributing as a spinner and a lower middle-order batter. Throughout the tournament, he broke multiple partnerships for the United, and he also chipped with a crucial cameo (20* off 9 balls) in Eliminator 2, but they lost the game by a slim margin.
Green hasn't played a game in the IPL, but the off-spinner was picked by KKR for IPL 2019.

4) Kusal Mendis
As Peshawar lifted the PSL 2026 silverware, Sri Lanka's Kusal Mendis played a remarkable hand with the bat. When he sold for PKR 4.2 crore, various questioned the Zalmi's bold move. However, the attacking keeper-batter repaid the faith invested in him with a 550-run season, just next to Babar Azam.
Among his various match-winning knocks, Kusal Mendis’ century against the Karachi Kings has to be one of the the best knocks played in the season. With various IPL franchises struggling to find a lethal wicketkeeper-batter, Mendis might interest some serious bids on the next auction table.
3) Michael Bracewell
Just like a true soldier, Michael Bracewell never backed away from responsibilities. The New Zealand all-rounder contributed both with bat and ball, playing an integral part for the champion side, Peshawar. Although apart from an 83-run knock and 3 for 18, he didn't do anything noteworthy, his contributions go beyond stats.
Bracewell has experience of playing in IPL, and the useful all-rounder can be a good pick in this day and age of the Impact Player rule.
2) Aaron Hardie
The Player of the Final, Aaron Hardie, is an IPL reject who featured in the Punjab Kings squad in IPL 2025. Although the Aussie all-rounder didn't get enough chances in the IPL, he impressed everyone with his craft in PSL 2026.
In the final two games for Peshawar, Hardie brought out the best in him. He took seven wickets across Qualifier 1 and the PSL final, and also chipped in with an unbeaten half-century against Hyderabad.
All over the season, Hardie slammed 133 runs in six innings, striking nearly at 150, alongside his 11 wickets.
1) Nahid Rana
Nahid Rana's stocks have skyrocketed in recent times, thanks to Pakistan Cricket. Bangladesh's quick, who can trouble batters by bowling at 150 clicks, made a household name in the BPL 2025/26. Since then, he has just shone like a star anywhere he has played.
Rana troubled Pakistan in the three-match ODIs before making a name for himself in the PSL 2026. His performance was so good that the Peshawar Zalmi had to request the BCB to send him back for the knockouts, extending his NOCs.
The right-arm speedster impressed every fanatic with his raw pace and ability to bowl at hard lengths. It is highly unlikely that he wouldn't have come under any IPL scout's radar.
