Rajasthan Royals enjoyed a strong IPL 2026 campaign and successfully reached the playoffs. However, their journey came to an end after a heartbreaking seven-wicket defeat against Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 on May 29. 

Despite posting a huge total of 214 runs, Rajasthan Royals could not defend the target as Gujarat Titans chased it down in just 18.4 overs and secured a place in the final.

Notably, the Royals finished fourth in the IPL 2026 points table with 16 points. They registered eight wins and six losses in 14 league matches. Although the season ended in disappointment, several players delivered impressive performances throughout the tournament.

Among the biggest positives for Rajasthan Royals were young opening stars Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal. Their contributions at the top of the order played an important role in the team's success during the season.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's IPL 2026 Price

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who began his IPL career with Rajasthan Royals, has become one of the most valuable players in the squad. Following an outstanding IPL 2025 season, the franchise decided to retain the talented opener ahead of IPL 2026.

In IPL 2025, Jaiswal scored 559 runs in 14 innings at an impressive strike rate of 159.71. As a result, Rajasthan Royals retained him for a massive ₹18 crore before the IPL 2026 auction.

In addition, players receive a match fee of ₹7.5 lakh per game. Therefore, after including his match fees for the season, Jaiswal's total earnings from IPL 2026 come to approximately ₹19.2 crore.

How did Yashasvi Jaiswal Perform In IPL 2026?

Yashasvi Jaiswal had a decent season in IPL 2026. Even so, it was not among his best campaigns, especially considering the high standards he has set in previous years.

Notably, he started the tournament with scores of 38 off 36 balls and 56 off 36 balls. Later, he returned to top form with a brilliant unbeaten 77 off 32 deliveries against Mumbai Indians.

Thereafter, Jaiswal continued to make useful contributions for his team. By the end of the season, he had scored 427 runs in 16 innings. 

Moreover, he maintained a strike rate of 152.50 and an average of 30.50. These numbers highlight another solid season for the young Indian batter.

With total earnings of approximately ₹19.2 crore and 427 runs scored during the season, Jaiswal's cost per run comes to around ₹4,49,648.71. This figure is an approximate calculation based on his overall salary and match fees for the season.

Will Yashasvi Jaiswal Be Released To IPL 2027 Auction Pool?

The possibility of Yashasvi Jaiswal being released ahead of the IPL 2027 auction appears highly unlikely. The left-handed opener remained an important part of Rajasthan Royals' batting lineup throughout the season. 

Moreover, he consistently provided strong starts and continued to contribute valuable runs at the top of the order. Considering his talent and importance to the franchise, Rajasthan Royals are expected to retain him for the next season.
