Vaibhav Sooryavanshiâs team Rajasthan Royals (RR) might not have made it into the Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) final, but the teenager will make his presence felt in Ahmedabad on May 31. The IPL 2026 final will be played between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Sooryavanshiâs brilliant run in the IPL 2026 came to an end after Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2 of the IPL 2026 on May 29 in New Chandigarh. It was a complete domination from the GT team as Shubman Gill made 104 as RRâs total of 214 was chased down easily.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi stars in playoffs for Rajasthan Royals
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was in terrific form in the IPL 2026 playoffs for the Rajasthan Royals. First, RR faced off against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Eliminator, and Sooryavanshi hammered 97 runs in only 29 balls, hammering 12 sixes and 5 fours.
Thanks to his knock, RR posted 243/8 in 20 overs. In response, SRH could only manage 196 runs with Jofra Archer taking three wickets and lost the game by 47 runs.
Then in the IPL 2026 Qualifier 2, Sooryavanshi played a completely different knock, scoring 96 in 47 balls with 7 sixes and 8 fours, taking a struggling RR innings to 214/5. However, GT chased down the total with 7 wickets in hand, with Gillâs 104 and Sai Sudharsanâs 58.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi spotted in Ahmedabad for the IPL 2026 final
Prior to the IPL 2026 final match, batting sensation Vaibhav of the Rajasthan Royals was recently seen arriving at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPIA) in Ahmedabad.
Vaibhav is anticipated to attend the stadium to see the championship game and possibly be honored for his outstanding play during the competition. It's unclear, though, if he will win the Orange Cap at the end of the season.

Shubman Gill has scored 722 runs in 15 games with a strike rate of 163.71 with one century and 6 fifties. He has also hit 72 fours and 33 sixes while leading GT into the finals.
On the other hand, Sai Sudharsan has been crazy consistent with 710 runs in 16 games with a strike rate of 159.55 with one century and 8 fifties. He has hit 73 fours and 30 sixes and averages 47.33. Both the players will be eager to beat Vaibhav Sooryavanshiâs record of 776 runs and get the Orange Cap in the GT camp.
Sudharsan will be eager to win the Orange Cap and become only the second batter after Chris Gayle to win the Orange Cap for most runs in two successive IPL editions.
