In recent years, Sunrisers Hyderabad has provided exposure to young, uncapped Indian talent. Star SRH players like Abhishek Sharma and Nitish Kumar Reddy also went on to represent the national team, thanks to their IPL exploits.

Ahead of IPL 2026, they once again have a formidable Indian core, with options across the line-up. Despite a disappointing IPL 2025 campaign, they unearthed some more uncapped talent like Aniket Verma and Zeeshan Ansari, who were a part of their starting lineup and are once again likely to make an impact.

As the Sunrisers Hyderabad look to bounce back from last year’s campaign and fight for the playoffs in IPL 2026, we take a look at their uncapped talents to watch out for.

1. Harsh Dubey

In IPL 2025, Harsh Dubey was roped in as a replacement player in the back-end of the season and immediately created an impact, contributing in three wins for the team. In just three games played, he has picked five wickets in the IPL, including a prized scalp of Virat Kohli in their win over RCB.

Furthermore, he was appointed captain of the Vidarbha team, which won the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the first time in its history. In their Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025/26 campaign, he picked 8 wickets in 6 matches, conceding at an impressive rate of just over 6 runs per over.

In his short career, he has proven to be a bowler who will keep the run rate in check during the middle overs and can also bowl in the powerplay. His tight lines and lengths — comparable to Axar Patel — can help the bowlers on the other end to pick wickets.

Additionally, as he claims, he can also score at a brisk pace at number 7 or 8 to take the game away from the opposition. His batting prowess was evident in his 63 (30) in the VHT 2024/25 final and a knock of 84 vs South Africa A. Overall, he has 12 domestic fifties to his name.

With his experience of playing for India A, he will be a player to watch out for across the three departments for SRH in IPL 2026.

2. Aniket Verma

Following Nitish Kumar Yadav’s successful rise from the SRH camp in 2024, the Orange Army included Madhya Pradesh’s Aniket Verma in the roster in IPL 2025. He was trusted with the middle-order role alongside Heinrich Klaasen and Reddy as he played all 14 matches of the last season.

Irrespective of the results that SRH produced, Verma turned out to be their new sensation with 236 runs in the season, including a 74(41) vs DC after the team was down to 37/4 in their loss. So far, he has shown his ability to adapt to different venues and play counter-attacking knocks without crumbling under the pressure

After the impressive debut season, Verma will remain central to SRH’s plans in IPL 2026. He is likely to bat at 6 for them this season, with an ability to go up the order as a floater to disrupt the bowling momentum.

3. Salil Arora

The 23-year-old wicketkeeper batter from Punjab, Salil Arora, was swooped in by SRH in the IPL 2026 auction for INR 1.50 crore from a base price of 30 lakh. They had a bidding war with another team, which is good at scouting talented youngsters, the Mumbai Indians, but managed to get the services of the player.

Heading into IPL 2026, it will be interesting whether Arora breaks into the starting XI, with the likes of Liam Livingstone, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Aniket Verma as their finishing options. However, the batter has shown immense talent at the lower-middle order in just 9 matches played, scoring 359 runs in T20 cricket.

Among the top-10 run-scorers of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025/26 season, he had the best strike rate with 358 runs, which included a knock of an unbeaten 125 runs.

Ideally, if captain Ishan Kishan/Pat Cummins and co. decide to present him with opportunities, SRH will also have leverage to play around with their overseas player combinations.
