So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj and my co-commentators, Dev, Deepak Prakash and AkshayaKrishna as we wrap up the coverage of this fixture. A note of thanks to our scorer, Sachin Yadav as well. Stay tuned to our network and join us for a lot more cricketing action on Monday.
Shaheen Shah Afridi (Pakistan Captain):"Winning the series 3-0, always happy. Like I said during the 1st game, everyone has been confident. They have been in good touch since the South Africa series. All the 15 players should be ready for any game. The rotation policy is good for us. Credit goes to him. He was sitting on the bench but still worked. He played domestic cricket as well, bowled well to him. They are wicket-takers. The way Wasim Jr came back after injury. They are both match-winners for the team. Pakistan Shaheens won against our neighbour, so that's a big achievement for us."
Kusal Mendis (Sri Lankaās stand-in skipper):āOnce again, our top five batters got good starts but couldnāt convert them into big scores. Thatās been a repeated issue for us in this series. When you donāt build on those starts, you struggle in the middle overs, and thatās exactly what happened. Going forward, I hope the boys learn from this and improve their decision-making so we can put stronger totals on the board.
One big positive today was Jeffrey Vandersay. He bowled brilliantly, showed great control, and wasnāt afraid to toss the ball up. He was playing for Sri Lanka after a long time, and Iām really happy with the effort he put in. For me, he was outstanding.
Looking ahead to the Tri-Series and the T20 format, weāll have a slightly different bowling unit. Some players in good form will be joining the side, especially fast bowlers, and hopefully we can perform better there, both with the ball and the bat. T20s are a different challenge, and I believe we can put better scores on the board.
And yes, the weather here has been extremely cold compared to Sri Lanka. Iāve played in PSL as well, but not in conditions like this. Still, weāll adapt quickly and be ready for the T20 matches.
Hard luck for us in this ODI series, but weāre looking forward to bouncing back in the upcoming Tri-Series.ā
Haris Rauf (Player of the Series):"It is not easy to bowl first-change. My role is to break the partnerships. Mentally, I am ready for any situation to fit the needs of the team. There is cricket all over the world and 300 is not enough. Runs don't matter, winning the match for the team is important. What the conditions demand, I try to adjust according to that."
Haris Rauf has been named as the 'Player of the Series'.
Mohammad Wasim Jr:āFirst of all, thanks to the Almighty. This performance is not just mine, as itās a combined effort from all our bowlers. The wicket was very suitable for us, and everyone bowled with great control.
In practice, I always focus on hitting hard lengths because once the ball gets old, it doesnāt do much. So the key is to keep the discipline, hit the right areas, and build pressure with dot balls. When you keep creating those dots, the wickets eventually come. Iām happy that the plan worked today and we executed well as a unit.ā
Mohammad Wasim Jr gets the 'Player of the Match' award.
Fakhar Zaman gets the 'Master Blaster of the Match' award.
Kamindu Mendis gets the 'SuperPower of the Match' award.
Fakhar Zaman gets the 'Electrifying Batter of the Match' award.
