That brings an end to our coverage for this game. It was pleasure bringing you all the updates. Keep joining us for more cricketing action all around the globe. For now, this is Akshay Bhide, signing off, on behalf of my co-commentator Anirudh Modi and scorer Bishal Mandal. Tata. Bye Bye.
Kane Williamson (New Zealand Captain): "A great win today but obviously disappointed with the entire World Cup performance. We maybe could not employ our methods well, we saw in our previous match that we could not perform well and maybe we could have done better through out the tournament.

In terms of teams getting exposure at the highest level, and grow as players and teams and experiences to have. The conditions are always a challenge in terms of how to operate but having that exposure is always great to learn from.

We have an off tomorrow and it will be the same discussions again, try to be as clinical as you can and get that win."
Brian Masaba (Uganda Captain): It's been a wonderful experience for us a team. We are playing at a tournament at this level for the first time. A great exposure for us playing against the top teams and players. But more importantly, it's done wonders back in the country. The people back home are staying awake late till night and watching us play. It's been incredible.

I have been trying to interact with different world-class players and try to pick up their brain. I'm trying to gain as much knowledge as possible from them and what I can do to improve. I have been questions like what did you do to get better.

I want to thank all team for being nice with us and behind us. Their players have interacted with us and helped us all the way and encouraged us. They all have been happy that we have made it to the World Cup.

It's been nice to see how the boys have gone on the field. The two young fast bowlers have been supported a lot back in the home. They come from a humble background. Seeing it, the kids are taking up this sport. This is what you want to see. Want to take this to a better level from where we took it. Uganda cricket can land from this and build on that platform.

We are loving it here. I have been telling back home that we have got a massive following here in West Indies. It's good to see that."

Tim Southee (Player of the Match): "It was pretty clinical performance and nice to get a win. It's been a bit tricky bowling here. Extremely disappointing to find ourselves out of the tournament and we have a lot of experience but just got outplayed in the first 2 games. I am not getting younger but always feeling good and fresh and it's a dream to play cricket for New Zealand, so still enjoying it."

8:20 AM IST, 10:50 PM Local Time: That’s the end of this fixture. New Zealand walk past Uganda unscathed to register their first win in this edition of the T20 World Cup. The bowlers set up things nicely for them by knocking over Uganda on a paltry total of 40 before they chased it down without much fuss. A comprehensive victory by 9 wickets for the BlackCaps.

Chasing a modest total, Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened for New Zealand. They had a steady start to the chase. Riazat Ali Shah was brought into the attack in the fifth over and he dismissed Allen on nine. Rachin Ravindra joined Conway at the crease and made sure that there were no more hiccups in this small chase. Both Conway and Ravindra remained unbeaten on 22 and one respectively to take their side across the line in the sixth over.

After opting to bowl first, the new-ball pair of Trent Boult and Tim Southee wreaked havoc in the Uganda camp. They bowled beautifully upfront and picked up three wickets between them to reduce Uganda to 9/3 at the end of the powerplay. Kenneth Waiswa showed some resistance for Uganda but was cleaned up in the eighth over.

The New Zealand’s bowlers continued their good. Only Waiswa (11) managed to get to double figures as the other Uganda batters faltered and they eventually got bundled out on 40 in 18.4 overs. Tim Southee picked up three wickets and conceded only four runs in his four overs. Trent Boult, Mitchell Santner and Rachin Ravindra grabbed two scalps each and Lockie Ferguson also chipped in with one.

Stick around the post-match presentation.
