Thea Francis Brookes is an all-rounder who currently plays for Warwickshire, Central Sparks and Birmingham Phoenix, and who previously has played for Worcestershire, Loughborough Lightning, Yorkshire Diamonds and Southern Vipers.
Brookes made her county debut in 2005, for Worcestershire against Warwickshire. Although it took her four years to become an integral piece of the Worcestershire setup. In 2011, she introduced her name in the top run-getters charts, across all formats, and two years later, Brooks scored her maiden century in a List-A game after Somerset.
Born in Wordsley, the all-rounder’s game is best suited for the shorter formats and she played four seasons of the Women's Cricket Super League. In 2016, she took Loughborough Lightning to the semifinal stage and played the 2017 edition for them as well. By 2018, the all-rounder shifted to play for Yorkshire Diamonds, before becoming a vital addition in the Southern Vipers team.
In 2020, the Wordsley-born played for Central Sparks in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. The following year, Birmingham Phoenix signed the all-rounder for the inaugural edition of The Hundred. Experience in the latest format would surely help Brookes to take longer heaps in her career.
