A talented wicketkeeper-batter Sophie Reid plays for the Victoria team in the Australian domestic cricket.
Reid shot to fame by scoring 476 runs in 13 innings in the 2019-20 edition of Women's Premier First One Day for Plenty Valley Cricket Club. She returned with 357 runs in 12 innings in the subsequent edition.
The elegant batter scored 484 runs in 14 innings for the Carlton Cricket Club. She marked her presence at the fourth spot in the batting charts in 2021-22.
In February 2022, Reid was a part of Carlton Men's Third XI team due to some players sustaining injuries and covid concerns.
In her first-ever season for Victoria Women's team in the Women's National Cricket League 2022, the 24-year-old hit 37 runs in three innings.
In June 2022, the elegant batter signed her maiden WBBL contract with Melbourne Stars.
Ahead of the 2022-23 season, Reid was awarded a contract with Victorian Cricket Club.
