Born in Sydney, the left-arm quick made a strong impression in 2025 while playing for Western Suburbs, finishing the tournament as the leading wicket-taker. His 15 wickets came at an outstanding average of under 10, combined with a tight economy rate, underlining both his attacking intent and control. Patterson’s rise has been steady rather than sudden.
