A prolific all-rounder, Lata Mondal is a professional Bangladeshi women’s cricketer who has provided multiple match-winning performances with both bat and bowl at the international stage in the past decade.
Born in Dhaka, Mondal was a part of the Bangladeshi women’s team that won a silver medal in cricket against the China national women’s team at the 2010 Asian Games held in China. A year later, she was called up to the senior side and made her international debut in an ODI fixture against Ireland on November 26th, 2011.
Currently one of the most experienced members in the Tigresses squad, Mondal has been named in Bangladesh’s limited-overs squad for their tour to Zimbabwe after two years out of international cricket and would be looking to make an immediate impact against the Minnows.
