Fred Klaassen is an English-born Dutch cricketer who plays for the Netherlands cricket team. Born in Sussex, England, the left-arm medium pacer made his Netherlands debut in the 2018 Netherlands T20I Tri-Nation series match against Ireland.
In the same year he made his ODI debut against Nepal, scalping 3 for 30 and completely rattled the Nepal top order.
2018 proved to be a fruitful year for Klaassen as he signed a two-year contract with English County side Kent.
Klaassen represented VOC Rotterdam in the 2018 Dutch domestic competition, registering 29 wickets at an average of just over 14.
An excellent utility player, Klaassen’s ability to take wickets at regular intervals has made him a valuable asset for Dutch cricket. He still has a long way to go to cement a permanent place in the Dutch national team.
