A tape-ball cricketer who used to play on the streets of Lahore, Salman Mirza is a professional cricketer for the Lahore Qalandars. He first appeared in the open trials of the player development program in 2017, where he was selected to play for Lahore’s team in the PDP tournament, and the following year he was selected to play for Faisalabad.

Mohammad Salman Mirza is a talented left-arm fast bowler from Lahore, Pakistan. Born on January 1, 1994, he has made a name for himself in domestic and franchise cricket with his ability to generate pace and movement. A right-hand batsman, he primarily plays as a bowler but has also shown glimpses of his batting skills in First-Class cricket.

In 2019, Salman participated in the local T20 tournament named “Battle of Qalandars,” where the team management noticed his bowling skills, and he was selected to train at the franchise’s High-Performance Center. Travelling with the Qalandar’s squad during the post-covid era, he was selected as a net bowler.

His hard work paid off and Salman was selected to represent Lahore Qalandars in the inaugural game of the 2021 Pakistan Super League (PSL). Salman was brought in as the replacement of Dilbar Hussain who was suffering a hamstring injury. In his debut match, Salman took two crucial wickets of Haider Ali and Kamran Akmal in an impressive victory.

Salman has represented multiple teams, including Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Durbar Rajshahi, Mountaineers, Northerns (Zimbabwe), and Pakistan Railways. His T20 debut came in the 2021 PSL season for Lahore Qalandars, where he displayed his potential as a wicket-taking bowler. Over the years, he has developed into a reliable pacer, known for his aggressive bowling and ability to deliver crucial breakthroughs.

In T20 cricket, he has been imposing, with his best bowling figures of 4/11, proving his capability to dismantle batting lineups. His performances in First-Class cricket have also been noteworthy, with a six-wicket haul (6/42) in an innings, showcasing his skills with the red ball. Additionally, he has a First-Class half-century to his name, highlighting his ability to contribute lower down the order.

Salman has been part of various leagues and domestic tournaments, gaining valuable experience and improving his game. His recent performances in T20 leagues, including matches for Lahore Qalandars, demonstrate his consistency as a bowler.
