Player Bio

In a batting lineup filled with flair and aggression, Thomas Fraser Rogers has carved his own niche as a calm and composed presence at the crease. The left-handed opening batter from Melton, Victoria, has quietly risen through the state ranks to become one of Victoria’s most dependable young batters across formats.

Born in 1999, Rogers’ cricketing roots trace back to Melbourne’s club circuit, where his solid technique and patience drew early attention. He made his way through Victoria’s age-group system before earning his Big Bash debut in January 2022 after most of the senior pros of the Melbourne Stars had contracted Covid-19.

For the 2025-26 BBL season, Rogers will continue to represent the same team.

In the domestic one-day arena, he truly announced himself. A year after making his List A debut in February 2023, the Victorian batter's remarkable 196, including 15 sixes, against New South Wales in the Marsh Cup was a career-defining innings. That knock remains one of the highest individual scores in the competition’s recent history and underlined his ability to anchor an innings under pressure.

In the Sheffield Shield, Rogers has gradually found his footing after making his debut in October 2024. Though his journey in red-ball cricket is still unfolding, a string of half-centuries in the 2024–25 season has shown that he possesses the temperament to succeed at the longer format.

With his mix of patience, precision, and hunger for runs, Thomas Fraser Rogers stands as one of Victoria’s most reliable batting prospects — a player built on grit rather than glamour.
