He bats left-handed and bowls right-arm off-spin. Arachchige is one of the capped Sri Lankan players in the Asian Games 2026 squad. He has represented Sri Lanka across six international matches, including five ODIs and a T20I. In three ODI innings, Sahan Arachchige has amassed 89 runs, including a fifty, at an average of 29.66. While he has one ODI wicket under his belt, Arachchige has scored 22 runs and bagged two wickets in his only T20I before the ongoing semifinal clash.
