"Obviously, for the records it's outstanding, for the crowd it's outstanding, for the broadcaster it's outstanding, but if you ask me as a genuine cricket fan and as a coach, because I have to have sympathy for the bowlers as well," the head coach added.Batters treated, bowlers punished during Guwahati's run-feast in IND vs WI 2nd ODIIt wasn't a day to be a bowler in the second ODI, with both Indian and West Indies bowlers getting hit in every corner of the park. Barring Kuldeep Yadav and Naman Dhir, no bowler had an economy rate below 7 RPO at Guwahati. Earlier in the day, three of the West Indies batters, John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo, slammed centuries, taking them to 405/7 - their highest-ever total in India. Chasing a momentous target of 406 runs, the India opening pair of Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma never dropped a beat throughout their stand of 255 runs. The veteran opener hit his 35th century, while the Indian captain not only smacked the fastest double ton in the format but also remained unbeaten on 223. After Guwahati, the caravan will move to another batting paradise, New Chandigarh, for the third and final ODI between India and West Indies.
