Ishan Kishan’s redemption arc should be studied by every cricket lover. He was down and out of the team and had little hope of coming back into the Indian squad. However, the southpaw worked hard on his game, as he shut out the outside noise and only focused on making his India comeback.

Kishan performed in the domestic circuit, and the result was a comeback in India’s T20 World Cup squad. He performed against the Namibia side, but the biggest hurdle came against Pakistan as India lost an early wicket.

Kishan reveals what motivates him to beat Pakistan

Many expected Kishan to consolidate early before going for the big shots; however, the southpaw unleashed a barrage of boundaries and took the game away from Pakistan with a quick-fire 77 off 40 balls as the Men in Blue clinched the game in a one-sided contest.

However, there was a method to Kishan’s madness, and in a video that has gone viral, the Indian batter revealed why he loves playing against Pakistan and what brings out the best in him against them.

"By seeing Pakistan, there is a lot of motivation in me, sometimes I feel for us. Also, it's not always about cricket - that you just have to go and score runs, no friends. Sometimes a team feels that way - either crush them or get crushed. I cannot be such a good boy; I do get angry, we must win no matter what. We wait for someone else to open their mouth. Oh bhai, Bihar is in the blood," Kishan said in a video posted by Two Sloggers.

Shadab Khan's weird method to win matches in T20 World Cup

However, unlike Kishan, who has a motivation to beat Pakistan and has worked on his skill sets to beat them, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan has a different mindset, as he relies on good wishes, rather than proper cricket, to beat India.

In a video posted before the T20 World Cup commenced, Pakistan all-rounder Shadab Khan urged the fans to pray for the team to do well in the World Cup, and it indirectly showcases that the Men in Green are more reliant on divine power to win the World Cup, rather than performing with bat and ball to beat the opposition.

How Kishan and Shadab had polar opposite performances in IND VS PAK match

Both Kishan and Shadab took part in the India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match, and they both had contrasting performances. Kishan was under pressure when Pakistan dismissed Abhishek Sharma for a duck, but then the batter broke the shackles and made a mockery of the Pakistan attack.

He was ultra-aggressive in the powerplay, and by the time he was dismissed (77 off 40), India had already scored 88 runs and the platform was laid for a big total.

The same cannot be said about Shadab Khan, who failed to deliver with both bat and ball. With the ball, the leg-break bowler conceded 17 runs in the solitary over that he bowled, and with the bat, Shadab struggled and only scored 14 off 15 before Tilak Varma took his wicket.
