The second round of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27 concluded on Wednesday with several clinical victories and hard-fought draws. Played from October 18 to 21, the round saw several Indian internationals and national-team hopefuls deliver notable performances.

Here is how India's prominent players performed in Round 2 of the Ranji Trophy 2026-27.

Sarfaraz Khan

Sarfaraz Khan scored 154 runs for Mumbai against Himachal Pradesh, striking 19 fours to help his team declare at 528/8.

Mumbai won by an innings and 97 runs, securing their second consecutive bonus-point victory. Sarfaraz's century was one of the standout batting performances of the round.

Rinku Singh

Rinku Singh continued his impressive domestic run with an unbeaten 118 for Uttar Pradesh against Goa.

His innings helped UP recover from a top-order collapse and post 202 in their first innings. Uttar Pradesh eventually won by 68 runs to register their second consecutive victory of the season.

Mohammed Shami

After a brilliant contribution in the opening game against Delhi, Mohammed Shami missed Bengal's second-round match against Services after being left out of India's squads for the New Zealand tour.

He had taken four wickets in Bengal's opening-round match against Delhi. Shami later explained that the spin-friendly pitch offered limited value for a fast bowler and that younger players could benefit from the opportunity.

Rajat Patidar

Rajat Patidar scored 122 for Madhya Pradesh against Puducherry, helping his side post 345 in the first innings.

MP secured a substantial lead after dismissing Puducherry for 177. The match ended in a draw, with Patidar's team earning three points for its first-innings advantage.

Ruturaj Gaikwad

After returning from India 'A' duty, captain Ruturaj Gaikwad scored 101 for Maharashtra against Jharkhand as his team declared at 527/5.

His century came alongside hundreds from Ankit Bawne and Digvijay Patil. The match ended in a draw, with Maharashtra earning three points after securing a first-innings lead.

Ayush Badoni

Delhi captain Ayush Badoni smashed 217 runs off 246 balls against Gujarat, hitting 22 fours and two sixes.

His double century helped Delhi declare at 648/6. The match ended in a draw after Gujarat replied with 479, giving Delhi three points for their first-innings lead.

Priyansh Arya

Priyansh Arya narrowly missed a double century, scoring 199 off 220 balls against Gujarat. The Delhi opener struck 24 fours and six sixes, building a massive first-innings total alongside captain Ayush Badoni. Delhi finished with a first-innings lead after the match ended in a draw.

Sai Kishore

R Sai Kishore claimed 10 wickets against Uttarakhand, including figures of 6/34 in the second innings and a hat-trick. His performance helped Tamil Nadu bowl Uttarakhand out for 113 after posting 313 in reply to 134. Tamil Nadu won by an innings and 66 runs.

Shubman Gill

Shubman Gill's return to domestic cricket for Punjab was brief, as he was dismissed for one run against Chhattisgarh. Punjab, however, dominated the match through Uday Saharan's century and a strong bowling performance, eventually securing a seven-wicket victory.
