With the Mumbai Indians, Hardik has won four IPL titles and has broken several records, as he certainly would retire as one of the greatest players to grace the league.

In the IPL 2026 match between the Gujarat Titans and the Mumbai Indians, Hardik attained another special milestone, and he became just the seventh MI player to enter an elusive IPL list.

Hardik's IPL struggles in recent years

Hardik joined the Gujarat Titans in 2022, and he led them to an IPL championship in his maiden season. Moreover, under his guidance, the Titans reached the finale in 2023, but lost against CSK.

As a result, the 32-year-old was involved in a blockbuster IPL trade deal as Mumbai Indians acquired him back before the 2024 season, but the move turned out to be a doomsday for him, as his captaincy was questioned on a daily basis.

He replaced Rohit Sharma as the MI captain, and the player was heavily booed by his own fans. Moreover, the 2024 season turned out to be a disaster for Hardik, and MI as the side finished last in the table.

The following season, he led MI to a playoff finish, before the 2026 season struck, and MI once again crumbled under pressure.
