Tilak Varma (POTM): "[On first 100 in IPL] Of course, first 100 will always be special. To be honest, it is important for us, we don't have much time from here. Every game is important for us. Last 5 games, haven't spent much time in the middle. I tried to do that. First 20 balls, I was batting ball by ball, later on, I knew what I was capable of, I did that, and I am grateful for that.
[On targeting down the ground] You know, I was just seeing the situation, what the team needs. I was just trying to keep my head steady and following my basics. I have all the fancy shots, when the team needs, I can play those. But when you are batting under pressure, you need to back your skills and that's what I did.
[On partnership with Naman] The way he played, was crucial for us. He batted with a lot of positive intent and then the way I played, I am really proud of myself as well."

(What was said in the strategic timeout?) The kind of talent Tilak has, he does not need to worry about a lot. I just told him to watch the ball and hit the ball. The way the ball travels off his bat it is really special. It was about time that he delivered. At times, I was so loud that I got dizzy. But it was much needed for the team and for Tilak too.
(Bumrah's wicket with the new ball) In 137-138 appearance, Jasprit Bumrah has bowled the first over 8 or 9 times. So it is not a Hardik Pandya problem, it is a Jasprit Bumrah problem. You use him when we need him the most, not just at the start. Today, we needed him to have an impact at the start. No one is better than him.
(On the youngsters bringing in fresh energy) Really amazing display by the youngsters. As a group, we needed that. Debutant Krish bowling the right areas. Ashwani picking up 4 wickets. He did that last year too. The fielding had to click. Really happy with the youngsters. Special mention to Naman too.
