Indian cricket has hit a new rock bottom. The Men in Blue will go a second straight T20I series without lifting the trophy. The Shreyas Iyer-led side lost to Ireland and are now 0-2 down in the five-match T20I series. The caravan now moves to Bristol for the 4th T20I, which will be a do-or-die match for Team India.

Talking about the 3rd T20I, India suffered their heaviest defeat in T20Is. England beat India by 125 runs to go 2-0 up in the series. It was a shambolic show at Trent Bridge, where the Men in Blue tumbled for just 76 runs, their 2nd-lowest total in T20Is.

The entire team is facing the flak for their performance, and several changes are expected in the line-up for the fourth T20I.

India vs England 4th T20I Preview

For the fourth T20I, England are likely to go ahead with the same playing XI. Rightly so, because the opening slot was the only issue for the Three Lions, which too got resolved in the 3rd T20I when Jos Buttler and Phil Salt stitched a 43-run stand for the opening wicket.

For India, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is also facing pressure after failing in two matches. Sanju Samson’s return is also a possibility, which is why this article will shed light on India’s predicted playing XI against India for the 4th T20I.

India’s Likely Playing XI vs England- 4th T20I

Openers and Top Order (Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan)

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s international career has not gone as planned. The left-handed batter has amassed 27 runs in two innings, and now all of a sudden, the fans are demanding Sanju Samson’s return to the playing. However, it's unlikely that the management will bow down and will continue with the RR opener.

Abhishek Sharma had a flop show in the 3rd T20I, but he has had a great series. Also, Ishan Kishan will continue to play at No.3. The southpaw has amassed just 62 runs in 3 innings.

Middle Order and All Rounders (Shreyas Iyer, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Suryansh Shedge)

Axar Patel is likely to face the axe because the southpaw is struggling with the bat. The DC captain scored 10 (4) and could only amass just 15 runs in the entire series. With the ball, Patel has been decent with 2 wickets in 2 matches, but for the sake of fitting in an extra batter, the management is likely to bring back Suryansh Shedge.

The star all-rounder made his T20I debut in the 2nd T20I vs Ireland. Things didn’t go as planned for the PBKS star as he scored just a solitary run with the bat and didn’t pick up a single wicket. Despite that, Shedge is expected to play the 4th T20I because of his batting prowess.

Several eyebrows are raised at Tilak Varma, who has disappointed the most. The 23-year-old only has 40 runs in this series and deserves to be dropped. However, Gambhir trusts the MI star, and since he is also the vice-captain of the team, Varma is expected to start against England for the 4th T20I.

Bowlers (Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, Prince Yadav, Varun Chakaravarthy)

Prince Yadav and Harshit Rana were on song during the 3rd T20I as they picked up two wickets each. Arshdeep Singh went wicketless, but the left-arm seamer was brilliant in the 2nd T20I.

Varun Chakaravarthy’s place in the team is under the scanner, but the right-arm spinner is most likely to get the nod for 4th T20I because of lack of spinners in the team.
