Rajasthan Royals vs Gujarat Titans Preview
For Rajasthan Royals, they underwent a lot of changes for IPL 2026. Sanju Samson was traded off to CSK, while Ravindra Jadeja returned home after a long gap. Further, Riyan Parag took the leadership role.
For the upcoming match, Rajasthan have all their players available and now Dasun Shanaka, who came in as a replacement for injured Sam Curran, is also match ready and available for selection. Now, it is to be seen whether RR will make any changes to their playing XI after thumping win over CSK. Therefore, this article will shed light on Rajasthan Royals' predicted playing XI vs Gujarat Titans.
Rajasthan Royals Likely Playing XI vs Gujarat Titans- Match 9
Openers and Top Order (Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel)
Chasing a small target of 127 runs, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal stitched a 75-run opening stand. The 15-year-old prodigy scored a brilliant 15-ball fifty. Jaiswal, on the other hand, scored 38 off 36 balls.
The interesting thing in last match was that Dhruv Jurel was promoted at No.3. The right-handed batter scored a quickfire 18 off 9 balls, with a strike-rate of 200. Now, the questions remains whether Jurel will continue to bat at No.3 or he will be replaced by Shimron Hetmyer.

Notably, Hetmyer had a brilliant T20 World Cup 2026 where he scored 248 runs in seven innings, averaging 41.33 at No.3. He has been demoted to No. 5 by RR and now it to be seen whether it is the case against GT or not.
Middle Order and All Rounders (Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Ravindra Jadeja, Donovan Ferreira)
RR skipper Riyan Parag will bat at No.4. He scored 14 off 11 balls against CSK, including an outrageous six. Further, Hetmyer, as mentioned above, has been demoted to No.5 and is yet to be tested at that position in this season.
Ravindra Jadeja was brilliant with the ball against his former side and picked up a two-wicket haul. Jaddu will bat at No.6 for RR. Interestingly, Donovan Ferreira is likely to play at No.7. The Proteas all-rounder couldn't play last time around as RR finished the job with 47 balls remaining and eight wickets in hand.
Bowlers (Jofra Archer, Sandeep Sharma, Ravi Bishnoi, Brijesh Sharma)
RR bowlers were on-point against CSK. They were breathing fire and reduced the five-time winners to just 127 runs. Overseas duo, Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger picked up two wickets each.
Notably, if RR bat first, then Nandre Burger might be out of the playing XI but comes back as an impact sub, replacing Donovan. Ravi Bishnoi and Brijesh Sharma were also good and most likely to retain their place in the playing XI.
