RR vs MI Match Prediction [Source: AFP]Mumbai Indians will face Rajasthan Royals in the 69th match of IPL 2026 at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 24. The crucial encounter is scheduled to begin at 3:30 PM IST.For Rajasthan Royals, the equation is straightforward. Riyan Parag’s side must defeat Mumbai Indians to stay in contention for a top-four finish. RR currently sit fourth on the points table with 14 points from 13 matches and a net run rate of +0.083. However, their position remains vulnerable. Rajasthan have endured an inconsistent second half of the season after a strong start, losing four of their last five games before bouncing back with an important victory in their previous outing. The Royals will heavily rely on players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi to deliver under pressure in what is effectively a knockout contest. For the Mumbai Indians, meanwhile, there is nothing substantial left to play for apart from ending a disappointing campaign on a positive note. MI have managed just four wins in 13 matches this season and are already out of playoff contention with only eight points and a net run rate of -0.510.MI vs RR current form (last 5 matches) TeamsSelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableFormSelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableMISelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableL, W, L, W, LSelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableRRSelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableW, L, L, L, WSelectAdd Row AboveAdd Row BelowAdd Column RightAdd Column LeftDelete RowDelete ColumnDelete TableMI vs RR player battlesVaibhav Sooryavanshi vs Jasprit Bumrah One of the most exciting battles in the MI vs RR clash will be between teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and Mumbai Indians pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah. Vaibhav has impressed with his fearless strokeplay this season and has shown the ability to attack from ball one. If Vaibhav survives the early burst, RR could gain massive momentum in the powerplay. Archer’s express pace and sharp short balls have troubled Rohit multiple times in T20 cricket, especially during the powerplay overs. With MI expected to attack aggressively at home, Archer’s opening spell could play a decisive role in determining whether Mumbai gets a strong start or loses early wickets under pressure.
