After getting bowled for 130 runs in their PSL debut, the Hyderabad Kingsmen will eye a comeback against Quetta Gladiators in Match 5 of the PSL 2026 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on March 29, Sunday.

The Hyderabad bowlers had a poor day at the office against the reigning champions, Lahore Qalandars. While the young Hassan Khan did his job, the experienced pacers, Riley Meredith (2/39) and Mohammad Ali (1/50), went for far too many runs in the PSL opener.

While in the chase of 200 runs, no batter showed the right intent as the Kingsmen were bundled out for 130 runs after playing out the entire quota of overs.

The Marnus Labuschangne-led side will look to change their fortunes, as the initial games set the tone of the entire season in a leg like PSL.

Top Order: Saim Ayub, Usman Khan, Marnus Labuschagne

Hyderabad Kingsmen are expected to go with the gung-ho opening pair of Saim Ayub and Usman Khan. Although both the openers failed against Lahore, they have the mettle to dismantle any opposition on their given day.

On his PSL debut, Marnus Labuschagne failed both as a batter and a captain. But one should expect the Aussie batter to bounce back. He was Hyderabad's the scorer in the last game, but the team would want the skipper to score big runs.

Middle Order & All-Rounders: Kusal Perera, Maaz Sadaqat, Hassan Khan, Rizwan Mehmood

Hyderabad have heavily invested in Kusal Perera for this season. The attacking southpaw is asked to bat in the middle order, and he will look to demonstrate the same as he did in PSL 2025 for Lahore Qalandars.

Maaz Sadaqat missed the previous game due to a side strain and will likely return to the Hyderabad Kingsmen Predicted Playing XI vs Quetta Gladiators. The next slots will be filled in by the emerging player Rizwan Mehmood and the dashing all-rounder Hassan Khan. The all-rounder may have failed to contribute with the bat, but his spell of 2/30 was crucial.

Bowlers: Akif Javed, Maheesh Theekshana, Riley Meredith, Mohammad Ali

In the previous game, Mohammad Ali and Riley Meredith had poor outings with the ball. The Aussie pacer returned with 2 for 39 in his four-over spell, while Mohammad Ali went for 1/50 and couldn't even finish off his spell. These two pacemen are certainly better than that, and will make a comeback as they are crucial parts of the Hyderabad Kingsmen Predicted Playing XI vs Quetta Gladiators.

The fiery Akif Javed has it in him to rattle any batting line-up with his raw pace and bounce. He wasn't asked to bowl his entire quota of covers after his first spell, especially when Hyderabad Kingsmen gave away 70 runs in the last five overs.

Hyderabad Kingsmen is someone who has to be in the Hyderabad Kingsmen Predicted Playing XI vs Quetta Gladiators. The Sri Lankan spinner missed the last game due to team balance, but he will play a key role in this team's fate and play Match 5 of PSL 2026
