Mumbai Indians (MI) have had a poor time in the IPL 2026, as the five-time champions even failed to qualify for the playoffs under Hardik Pandya.
For Match 69, they will host the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (May 24), ending the season on a high and denying Rajasthan a chance to finish in the top four.
In the previous outing, MI faced Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens, but lost the game, where the monstrous Mumbai batting failed yet again.
They posted a below-par total of 147/8, thanks to the lower order hitting. But despite MI's valiant efforts with the ball, KKR hunted down the target in the penultimate over.
Ahead of Match 69, let us look at the best-suited MI Playing XI vs RR for their final league game of the season.
MI Playing XI vs RR, IPL 2026, Match 69
Top Order: Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton, Suryakumar Yadav
Rohit Sharma had a poor outing in the last outing, but as MI are set to play its final home game in IPL 2026, Mumbai ka Raja will be an integral part of the MI Playing XI. Also, one should not discount that Rohit has played two gem of an innings at Wankhede this season.
Ryan Rickelton has been the highest scorer for MI this season, but he, too, has had a topsy-turvy campaign. He will look to end the tournament on a high note.
Suryakumar Yadav has been one of the disappointments for Mumbai. Apart from a half-century, the Indian T20I captain has done nothing literally. There has been a debate about his place, but with no pressure, SKY might be the game-changer in the MI Playing XI vs RR.

Middle Order & All Rounders: Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Will Jacks
Naman Dhir has been the best batter for MI in IPL 2026. Although in terms of runs, he is in third place on the list, his contributions have been enormous.
Tilak Varma has played a couple of fine knocks in MI's dull season, but he has also played some boring knocks. The duo will need to be a part of the MI Playing XI vs RR.
Under the pressure of captaincy, Hardik Pandya, the all-rounder, hasn't come to the party in the MI Playing XI. However, the last game will be a great opportunity for Pandya to re-establish his authority among the loyal crowd at Wankhede.
Will Jacks came in late in the season and is currently playing over Sherfane Rutherford. The English all-rounder brings a whole new dimension with his spin bowling.
Bowlers: Corbin Bosch, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Allah Ghazanfar
Corbin Bosch came in late into the MI Playing XI, but his craft of hitting the track hard has been a great addition to their bowling attack. He has taken 11 wickets in just 5 innings, and he played a fine hand with the bat against KKR as well.
Jasprit Bumrah has seriously underperformed for MI this season, but he will likely be there for one last game. Complimenting him, Deepak Chahar will be a part of the MI Playing XI vs RR, especially after his performance vs KKR.
Allah Ghazanfar will be the last name and the spinner in the MI Playing XI. Mumbai could toss up between Shardul Thakur or Raghu Sharma for the Impact Player's position, but the former may get a nod ahead of the inspiring leg-spinner.
MI Playing XI vs RR- Rohit Sharma, Ryan Rickelton (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Naman Dhir, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Will Jacks, Corbin Bosch, Deepak Chahar, Jasprit Bumrah, Allah Ghazanfar.
