Hardik Pandya’s personal life has once again caught the attention of fans and the cricket fraternity after former India player and Pandya’s coach at the Gujarat Titans, Ashish Nehra, took a subtle dig at the player’s dating history.

Over the past couple of years, Pandya has gone through a divorce, which was very openly spoken about in the media and among the fans. He is also now set to remarry, which also takes people back to the infamous Koffee with Karan interview that got him suspended for a while in 2019.

Ashish Nehra speaks out about Hardik Pandya’s relationships

During a recent episode of Harbhajan Singh and his wife Geeta Basra’s YouTube talk show “Who’s the boss?”, Nehra made an appearance with his wife Rushma. In an interview format, the host couple spoke to the Nehras on a variety of topics before Harbhajan and the former left-arm quick were put in the spot for a rapid-fire round.

As the two former cricketers sat and answered questions asked by Geeta, they were asked to name a cricketer who is a Devdas, referring to the famous Indian fiction, where the protagonist is heartbroken due to the longing with his lover, Paro.

Harbhajan Singh named Hardik as the answer, and Nehra looked shocked and said, “Wo to roz Paro change karta hai maine suna hai, (he changes his Paro every day, I have heard).” All of them burst into laughter, and the clip quickly went viral on the internet.

Hardik Pandya’s public divorce and engagement

The star Indian cricketer famously married a model and his girlfriend, Natasa Stankovic, back in 2020 during the lockdown period. Soon after, they were blessed with a baby boy, named Agastya. The duo once again did a grand celebration of the wedding after the lockdown ended.

However, as luck would have it, they officially announced their divorce in 2024, and both had to face a lot of social media trolling during this period. What followed were quite a few dating rumours linking Pandya in the next couple of years before the player once again made his relationship public — this time with model, Mahieka Sharma, with whom he went on a holiday when he was injured.

According to his social media posts, he is engaged to Sharma, whilst keeping in contact with son Agasthya, who continues to stay with his mother, Natasa.

Pandya key to India's T20 World Cup chances

The marquee India all-rounder is currently in the middle of the T20 World Cup 2026, which is being played in India and Sri Lanka. India has opened the tournament with a win, amid some hiccups in the first innings.

Pandya is currently world number 3 all-rounder in the shortest format and comes into the tournament with red-hot form, especially with the bat. He scored only 5 runs and bowled 4 overs for 0/34 in the first match against USA; however, if India have to defend their title, he will need to be among the top-players in both departments like he was in 2024.
