While Team India may be gearing up for a crucial T20 World Cup 2026 match against Namibia, the mood inside the camp looks relaxed and cheerful. A recent light-hearted moment between Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel has gone viral on social media.
The short video, taken inside a hotel lift, showed the lighter side of the Indian dressing room. With big matches ahead, the team seem calm, united, and confident as they continue their campaign.
Jasprit Bumrah teases Axar Patel for Snapchat addiction
The viral clip shows Jasprit Bumrah teasing Axar Patel for developing a Snapchat addiction through Arshdeep Singh. Later, Arshdeep recorded another video inside the team hotel lift.
Axar Patel was standing next to him when Arshdeep decided to tease his teammate. In a playful tone, he said, “Paaji, Jassi bhai se daant padegi aapko.”
The comment was in reference to Jasprit Bumrah scolding Axar earlier. The all-rounder did not stay quiet. He quickly replied with a smile and revealed that Bumrah had already messaged him.
According to Axar, Bumrah joked about him picking up habits from younger players. The exchange was simple. But fans loved it. It showed the comfort level between players. There was no tension. Only laughter.
Such moments matter in big tournaments. Pressure is always high. But a relaxed dressing room often leads to better performances on the field.
Arshdeep Singh has been quite active online during this World Cup. He has shared several behind-the-scenes clips. Supporters have enjoyed these glimpses of team bonding.
India start T20 World Cup campaign with strong win
On the field, India began their T20 World Cup 2026 journey in style. They defeated the USA by 29 runs at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
The match did not begin perfectly for India. Early wickets created pressure. The top order struggled to settle. That is when captain Suryakumar Yadav stepped up.
He played a brilliant knock of 84 not out from 49 balls. His innings included clean hits and smart strike rotation. Yadav rebuilt the innings as India finished at 161/9 in 20 overs.
When it was time to bowl, the Indian attack did its job well. The USA batters could not build partnerships. Mohammed Siraj picked up three key wickets. Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh added two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah, however, did not play.
The USA ended at 132/8. It was a complete team effort. Batters recovered well, and bowlers stayed disciplined. The win gave India early momentum in the tournament.
Jasprit Bumrah boost ahead of big fixtures
India received more positive news ahead of their next match. Bumrah returned to training after missing the first game due to illness. He trained on February 10 and 11.
His return is important. Jasprit Bumrah brings experience and control to the bowling attack. If he plays against Namibia in Delhi, India’s pace unit will look even stronger.
After Namibia, India will face Pakistan on February 15 in Colombo. That match always carries extra emotion. Squad fitness and preparation will be key.
