India’s fielding standards were questioned during the first T20I against Ireland as the Men in Blue dropped a couple of easy chances and gave respite to the home team. The same mistake was repeated in the second game of the series as it took only three overs for the visitors to drop their first of the evening.

Harshit Rana, who is not known for his fielding efforts, dropped one off Arshdeep Singh’s bowling, and the Indian seamer was not impressed as he fumed at his Indian teammate.

The incident occurred in the third over of the game when Arshdeep was bowling to Ross Adair. The Indian left-arm seamer bowled a hard-length ball as Adair miscued the shot, and the ball took the aerial route.

Both Ishan Kishan and Harshit Rana charged towards the ball, and Kishan called for the catch, but it seems Rana didn’t hear his voice. Rana ran backward from short third man and failed to grab the ball as it slipped past his hands.

The Indian seamer tumbled, and the ball raced away past the boundary ropes. Arshdeep, who had the chance to take a wicket, was fuming as he made a gesture towards the two fielders who made a meal of a simple catch.

The left-arm bowler, Arshdeep, made a gesture through his hands, signalling that the ball should have been taken easily.

Arshdeep Singh takes revenge on the very next ball

Arshdeep was rightly furious with his mates as he had created a golden opportunity to strike. However, it took only one more delivery for the pacer to take his revenge and the wicket.

In the second ball of the third over, Arshdeep once again bowled a hard-length ball, but this time, Adair found the fielder at covers.

In the second ball of the third over, Arshdeep Singh once again bowled a hard-length ball, but this time, Adair found the fielder at covers. The Irish batter miscued his lofted drive as he failed to keep it above the fielders’ head, and found Tilak Varma, who had an animated celebration after the dismissal.

India not learning from their 1st T20I mistakes

Not one, not two, but India dropped as many as three catches in the first T20I against Ireland on Friday. Most of the chances that came were easy, but the Indian fielders failed to grab them and allowed the Irish side to get away with it.

The likes of Abhishek Sharma, and Shivam Dube dropped easy chances as Lorcan Tucker, and Gareth Delany got respite and the pair scored match-winning runs to inflict a heavy defeat on India.

Tucker registered a fifty, while Delany scored a crucial 49 as they helped Ireland cross the 180-run mark. The same mistakes were repeated in the second T20I as Rana spilled the chance, but Arshdeep dismissed Adair, eventually.
