After suffering an embarrassing defeat in the first T20I, Team India will be raring to go as they take on the high-flying Ireland side in the second and final game of the series. India came into the series as heavy favourites, but the Irish squad showed ruthlessness as India were decimated in a one-sided battle on Friday.
Ireland posted 182/9 in their first innings, as the Indian bowlers struggled to contain them. However, the famed Indian batters were tipped to chase down the total with ease, but Matt Hollard ran through their batting as the Men in Blue lost the game by 34 runs.
Ireland cannot lose the series anymore, and India cannot afford to suffer another big defeat. Ahead of the riveting India vs Ireland second T20I, we take a look at the toss winner and the potential changes made.
IND vs IRE, 2nd T20I Toss Update
India won the toss and Shreyas Iyer once again elected to bowl first as the weather is gloomy, and if it rains, the DLS could come into play. Surprisingly, India have gone in with the same openers as Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was once again snubbed by the Gautam Gambhir-led management.
However, two debutants have been named in the side, with Suryansh Shedge, and Prince Yadav picked in the playing XI, and the pair will play their first-ever T20I game.
On the other hand, Ireland have gone in with the same XI that defeated India to take a 1-0 lead in the T20I series.

IND Vs IRE, 2nd T20I: What the captains had to say
Shreyas Iyer (India Captain): "[Toss decision and reason behind it] We are going to bowl first. Considering the overhead conditions, it can pour anytime. So we want to maximise it.
[Chasing didn't work out in the last game, what India will do differently today?] It is about adapting to the conditions as quickly as possible. They were smart enough to do bowling changes, and also scoring off the front and back foot. Clearing right in the front. It is important to play smart cricket rather than following a pattern and at the same time, back our instincts as well.
Lorcan Tucker (Ireland Captain): "Yeah! Pretty happy. We are pretty happy to bat first. We want to get a good read on the pitch as quickly as possible. Hopefully, it plays pretty similarly today. I think it might just be about getting a good read on the pitch as quickly as possible, assessing what their bowlers are trying to do.
We know they tried to hammer their hard lengths pretty early, and they had good success doing it the other day. But I think it’s come back, adapt, learn from the other day, and hopefully have a slightly better go and get in the powerplay.
