On Sunday, June 28, India and Ireland locked horns for the 2nd and final T20I of the series at Belfast. A lot is at stake for the Shreyas Iyer-led side because they are playing to avoid a whitewash. For the ongoing match, India have named two debutants - Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav.

For the unversed, Ireland scripted history in the 1st T20I, handing India a 30-run defeat to register their first-ever win over the Men in Blue across formats. Therefore, changes were imminent, but very few expected Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav to make their T20I debut.

The internet is buzzing with curiosity about who they have replaced in the team, and this article will shed light on that.

Who Has Suryansh Shedge Replaced in India’s Playing XI for the 2nd T20I?

The Punjab Kings star has come in for Washington Sundar. The Gujarat Titans all-rounder had a poor 1st T20I, where he scored just 9 runs off 12 balls and gave away 19 runs in the only over he bowled. Therefore, the management has made a like-for-like replacement.

Suryansh Shedge is an all-rounder himself, who has been fast-tracked into the team. The 23-year-old was nowhere in the scheme of things, but injuries to Hardik Pandya and Nitish Kumar Reddy opened the doors for the right-handed batter.

Shedge recently featured for India in the Tri-Nation A series, where he amassed 147 runs in five innings, averaging 36.75.

Who Has Prince Yadav Replaced in India’s Playing XI for the 2nd T20I?

Prince Yadav has come in for Prasidh Krishna, who had a forgetful return to T20Is after 3 years. Notably, Prince Yadav recently made his ODI debut against Afghanistan and is all set to appear in T20Is as well for the Men in Blue.

For Prasidh Krishna, the right-arm seamer leaked 57 runs in his four overs in the 1st T20I and also scripted the record for most runs given by a bowler in two successive T20Is.

Shedding light on Prince Yadav, the right-arm seamer impressed the selectors during IPL 2026 where he picked up 16 wickets in 14 innings. Eventually it led to his ODI debut against Afghanistan, where he played two matches.

Yadav took three wickets in two innings and is now making waves in the Indian cricket circuit.

Despite Suryansh Shedge and Prince Yadav's debut, the fans are not happy because they turned up in thousands to see Vaibhav Sooryavanshi make his India debut. However, the 15-year-old will have to wait till the England series which starts in a few days.
