His consistency and calm approach under pressure turned the series in New Zealand's favour. Overall, Daryl Mitchell scored 352 runs in the ODI series at an incredible average of 176.
Mitchell continued his strong form in the five-match T20I series against India, scoring 125 runs at an impressive strike rate of 186.56.
Mitchell's performances also helped him reclaim the No. 1 spot in the ICC ODI batting rankings. He is currently at an 845 rating at the No. 2 spot, it is India’s Virat Kohli with a 795 rating, followed by Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran.
