New Zealand all-rounder James Neesham has decided to stay back in Bangladesh for the ongoing BPL 2025-26 season, as confirmed by his Rajshahi Warriors head coach Hannan Sarkar. It is worth noting that Neesham has also been selected in New Zealand squad for the upcoming five-match T20I series in India.

While the series serve as a crucial testing ground for New Zealand before the upcoming 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Indian and Sri Lankan conditions, James Neesham has decided to prioritize franchise cricket in Bangladesh over international commitment.

Dewald Brevis joins London Spirit for The Hundred 2026

Explosive South African batter Dewald Brevis has been roped in by the London Spirit franchise for the upcoming 2026 edition of The Hundred in England. Brevis was among the eight players signed on by the franchise. While Jamie Overton is set to reprise his role for London Spirit, Birmingham Phoenix legend and English middle-order batter Liam Livingstone as well as ace Australian spinner Adam Zampa were among other new recruits made by the Hundred team.

Fellow star attractions like Charlie Dean, Grace Harris, Mahika Gaur, Marizanne Kapp signed up to join the women’s division of London Spirit.

Shubman Gill, Ravindra Jadeja to play Ranji Trophy 2025-26 match

Indian national captain Shubman Gill and legendary all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja are both set to take part in the upcoming 2025-26 Ranji Trophy match at the Niranjan Shah Stadium C in Rajkot. The two cricketers recently turned up for Team India in the three-match home ODI series against New Zealand, which the hosts went on to lose 1-2 after the high-scoring cracker in Indore.

Nonetheless, Ravindra Jadeja will now join Saurashtra and Shubman Gill will be joining Punjab as the two teams gear up for their Elite Group B match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy between January 22 and January 25.

Pat Cummins, Hazlewood excluded from Australia squad for PAK tour

Cricket Australia named Australia’s 17-player squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series in Pakistan later this month. While Mitchell Marsh is set to continue as captain, Australian fast bowlers Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood have been excluded from the team, giving them more time to work on their fitness before next month’s 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

Perth Scorchers speedster Mahli Beardman and young Sydney Sixers star Jack Edwards also made a cut into the Australian team following their impressive run this BBL 2025-26 season. The three-match T20I series against Pakistan will be played between January 30 and February 2 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

Usman Khan, Ali Raza lead Pakistan win over Scotland in U19 World Cup

The Pakistan Under-19 team pulverised their Scotland counterparts in match number 12 of the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup in Harare. Bowling first, Pakistan fast bowler Ali Raza (4-37) and spinner Momim Qadar (3-46) picked up seven wickets between them to bundle out Scotland for just 187 in 48.1 overs

Chasing 188, Pakistan Under-19 number three Usman Khan compiled 75 from 85 balls with five fours and two huge sixes. Ahmed Hussain at number four also belted 47 with five boundaries as the ‘Boys in Green’ registered their opening points of the tournament.
