Praful Hinge created a huge impact in his very first IPL match for Sunrisers Hyderabad. On Monday, he shocked everyone by taking three wickets in his very first over. First, he dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on just the second ball.

Then, the SRH debutant got rid of Dhruv Jurel on the fourth ball, and finally removed Lhuan-dre Pretorius on the last ball of the over. Therefore, it turned out to be one of the best debut overs in IPL history.

Praful Hinge steals the show on debut

Before the match began, most people were talking about Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. Many believed that the young batter from Bihar would dominate the Hyderabad bowlers, especially because the bowling attack had not performed well in recent games. However, things turned out very differently. Instead of Sooryavanshi shining, it was Hinge who stole the spotlight.

Notably, Hinge dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for a golden duck with a well-planned bouncer. The ball was too fast, and Sooryavanshi could only manage a top edge. As a result, wicketkeeper Salil Arora safely caught the ball. This early wicket shocked Rajasthan Royals and gave Hyderabad a strong start.

Moreover, Hinge’s success did not stop there. It is worth mentioning that he became the first bowler in IPL history to take three wickets in the opening over of an innings.

During a post-match conversation with Murali Karthik, Hinge revealed that he had already planned to dismiss Vaibhav Sooryavanshi with a bouncer and successfully executed it.

Interestingly, Hinge also spoke about how he had visualized such a performance even before his debut.

“I enjoyed Sooryavanshi's wicket because he is in form. I told 2-3 people that I would bowl a bouncer straight up to him and get his wicket. I just wanted to dismiss him on the opening ball),” said Hinge.

“I thought about it last year. I wrote it, that I would take four or five wickets in my opening match. I manifested about dominating the powerplay. I truly believe in the power of manifestation,” said Hinge.
