ICC unveil match officials for T20 World Cup 2026
The ICC has unveiled the entire list of International Panel of Match Officials for the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. As many as four umpires will be making their tournament debuts, namely Candace La Borde, Gayathri Venugopalan, Kerrin Klaaste and Shathira Jakir Jesy.
It will mark the third-straight ICC Women’s T20 World Cup edition to feature an all-female match official panel after the 2023 and 2024 events.
West Indies to host Pakistan, Sri Lanka and New Zealand in 2026
Cricket West Indies has announced a blockbuster home season for the West Indies cricket team this year. As per the schedule, the West Indies men’s team will be hosting Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan at home.

The series between Sri Lanka and West Indies will be played next month, while West Indies will host New Zealand and Pakistan in July and August respectively.
Hayley Matthews to lead West Indies in T20 World Cup 2026
Cricket West Indies has also unveiled a strong 15-player West Indies squad for the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. Star all-rounder Hayley Matthews will continue to lead the national side, and she will be accompanied by fellow legendary all-rounders like Deandra Dottin and Stafanie Taylor.
The team also features several star attractions like Qiana Joseph, Chinelle Henry, Jahzara Claxton, Afy Fletcher, Mandy Mangru, Karishma Ramharack among others.
Tom Blundell notches up record ton for New Zealand
New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tom Blundell composed 186 runs off 292 balls with 22 cracking boundaries and three huge sixes against Ireland in their one-off Test match in Belfast as the visitors mounted 490-8d. Through the course of his innings, the cricketer notched up his sixth Test century, and the highest score ever recorded by any wicketkeeper-batter on European soil.
Blundell surpassed the previous record set by England’s Jamie Smith (184 vs India in 2025).
Netherlands announce squad for Canada tri-series
Cricket Netherlands has announced a 15-player Netherlands squad for the upcoming ODI tri-series in Canada. The series also serves as the nineteenth round of the 2024-26 Cricket World Cup League 2 tournament, with USA and hosts Canada serving as the other two teams.
Scott Edwards will continue to lead the side, while Sebastian Braat was called back into the national squad after a gap of over five years. Bas de Leede, Max O'Dowd and Roelof Van Der Merwe are some of the star performers included in the team.
