Nat Sciver-Brunt has hammered down the first-ever century in the history of WPL, doing so with her unbeaten thunder against RCB Women at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. Batting at number three for the Mumbai Indians Women’s team, the vintage Englishwoman clattered 16 boundaries and a six, and raced to her 100 from 57 deliveries in the final over.

Nat Sciver-Brunt surpassed the previous highest individual score in WPL history laid out by Georgia Voll last year during the WPL 2025 season in Lucknow.

Nat Sciver-Brunt records first century in WPL history

Nat Sciver-Brunt became the first centurion in the history of the WPL. The Mumbai Indians zealot attained the feat through her 100*-run knock from just 57 balls against table-toppers RCB Women in match number 16 of the WPL 2026 season.

Batting at number three, Nat Sciver-Brunt arrived to the crease in just the third over of the match at 16-1 after the early loss of Mumbai Indians opener Sajeevan Sajana. The 33-year-old subsequently forged Mumbai Indians’ counterattacking recovery by sharing a record 131-run partnership with half-centurion Hayley Matthews.

Despite losing Hayley and captain Harmanpreet Kaur in quick succession, Nat Sciver remained unfazed in her approach to belt a 57-ball ton in the final over of the innings. Notably, the legendary English batter had scored just 31* runs from her first 26 balls at one stage, before unleashing herself to reach a 32-ball fifty.

By becoming the first cricketer in WPL history to register a century, Nat Sciver-Brunt also surpassed a slew of elite WPL batters to notch up the highest individual score in the tournament. Here is a look at five of the highest individual scores recorded in WPL history after Nat’s epic ton in Vadodara.

  • Alyssa Healy – 96* vs RCB Women, WPL 2023
  • Beth Mooney – 96* vs UP Warriorz Women, WPL 2025

Nat Sciver-Brunt reaffirms herself as WPL’s elite batter

Apart from shaping the first-ever century in the history of the WPL, Nat Sciver-Brunt also has the joint-highest number of half-centuries in the tournament. In her 35 WPL matches, the English batter has charted 11 half-centuries and is on par with Meg Lanning’s tally.

Overall, Nat is also the leading run-maker in the history of the WPL by a landslide. With 1,346 runs in just 35 innings at a prolific batting average of 51.76, she is nearly 200 runs ahead of second-placed Lanning.

Mumbai Indians mount 199-4 vs RCB Women

Nat Sciver-Brunt’s unbeaten century blazed the Mumbai Indians Women to chart a monumental 199-4 in 20 overs after getting invited to bat first. Hayley Matthews also compiled 56 off 39 balls at the top of the order after the early fall of opener Sajeevan Sajana.

For the RCB, fast bowler Lauren Bell picked up impressive figures of 2-21 in the high-scoring innings.
