The fast bowler has suffered another setback while recovering from an earlier injury.“Rana will have an assessment tomorrow (October 11), and only then will we get a clear picture of his injury status,” a member of Bangladesh's selection panel told Cricbuzz.The selection panel member added that the BCB hopes Nahid Rana will be available for the series. The latest setback has ruled him out of the ODI tri-series involving Afghanistan and Zimbabwe in UAE, further delaying his return to action.The BCB is also looking into the cause of Rana’s persistent glute pain, with a possible cyst suspected in the affected area. The fast bowler could be sent to Qatar’s Aspetar Hospital for further assessment.With the West Indies Test series fast approaching, Nahid Rana faces a race against time to regain fitness for Bangladesh.
