Sanju Samson shatters records with second century in IPL 2026
CSK opener Sanju Samson smeared 101* runs off just 54 balls against Mumbai Indians in match number 33 of the IPL 2026 season. Clattering 10 boundaries and six sixes at the Wankhede Stadium, Samson’s match-winning knock marked his second century of the ongoing tournament.

Samson also notched up his fifth IPL century to become the fourth-joint highest century-maker in the history of the IPL. Moreover, he levelled Rohit Sharma with eight hundreds to list the second-joint highest T20 centuries among all Indian players.
Mustafizur Rahman denied PSL 2026 return for Qalandars by Bangladesh
Mustafizur Rahman will not be able to re-join the Lahore Qalandars franchise in Pakistan for the remainder of the PSL 2026 season. After playing five matches for the Qalandars, the speedster was called up for Bangladesh’s home ODI series against New Zealand.
With Rahman currently battling injury concerns, the senior paceman just had his No Objection Certificate (NoC) cancelled by the BCB on medical grounds.
Suzie Bates to retire after 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup
New Zealand great Suzie Bates is set to retire from international cricket after the upcoming 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England. A veteran of more than 350 internationals, the 38-year-old stated that she wants to add another trophy to her cabinet.
In an official statement, Bates also expressed her gratitude to all her teammates and other colleagues, saying “Words can’t truly express my gratitude to all my teammates and coaches along the way.”
MS Dhoni’s return delayed again
MS Dhoni, who was spotted training alongside his CSK colleagues earlier this week, was ruled out of his team’s IPL 2026 match against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium. The legendary wicketkeeper-batter is yet to play a single match this tournament, after he was ruled out of the first couple of weeks owing to a calf strain.
As of now, there is still no official confirmation regarding the return of the 44-year-old into the CSK playing XI.
Rehan Ahmed joins Delhi Capitals as Duckett’s replacement
England’s spin bowling all-rounder Rehan Ahmed has been roped in by the Delhi Capitals franchise for the remainder of the IPL 2026 season. The 21-year-old has joined the Capitals squad as a replacement of fellow Englishman Ben Duckett.
Ahmed, a veteran of multiple The Hundred and Vitality Blast seasons in England, is yet to play an IPL game in his career.
